How to Find a Product Manual on manua.ls
Updated
manua.ls is a free manual search site that indexes over 1,000,000 PDF manuals from more than 10,000 brands. To find your manual, you can either type a brand or product into the search field, or browse by brand and product category. Once you locate the right model, you can view the manual in your browser or download it as a PDF. The steps below cover both paths and what to check when a search returns too many or too few results.
Start With the Search Field
The homepage has a single input labeled "Type brand and type here." Enter either a brand name (for example, Bosch, Toyota, HP) or a product name, then submit the search.
- If you know the exact model, type the brand plus the model number, such as
HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw. This is the fastest route because the site's popular list shows model-specific pages, and exact model strings match those pages directly. - If you only know the brand, type just the brand and scan the results for your model.
- If you only know the product type, use the category list instead (see below), because a bare term like "printer" will return thousands of unrelated models.
Expected result: a results page listing matching manuals, each showing the model name and page count. For example, the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw manual is listed at 3054 pages, and the Canon PIXMA TS3722 manual at 445 pages.
Browse by Brand or Product Category
Below the search field, the site exposes two structured entry points: Brand and Product.
Brand list
A row of common brands appears first — Bosch, Toyota, HP, Philips, Mazda, Samsung, Ford, Canon, Siemens, Panasonic, AEG, Yamaha, Lexus, Asus, LG, Sony, Honda, Miele, Pioneer, Whirlpool, Citroën, Jeep, Atag, Lenovo, Seat, Chrysler, Dell, Hyundai, Peugeot, Brother — with a "show more" link to reveal the rest. Clicking a brand narrows results to that manufacturer's manuals.
Product categories
The category list covers:
- Car, boat, bike & navigation
- Computers & accessories
- Kitchen appliances
- Household appliances
- Audio
- Television & multimedia
- Telephone
- Camera & photography
- Garden & outdoor
- Personal care
- Powertools/gear
- Fitness & health
- Interior
- Other
- Software
Use a category when you don't know the brand, or combine it with a brand when the brand makes many product types. For example, Samsung appears under both household appliances (NE63A6511SS, 188 pages) and telephones (Galaxy A15, 678 pages), so the category disambiguates.
Use the Popular and New Lists as a Shortcut
The homepage also shows a Popular new section — a running list of frequently accessed manuals. This is useful when your product is common, because you can often spot the model without searching. Examples from that list:
| Manual | Pages |
|---|---|
| HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw | 3054 |
| Canon PIXMA TS3722 | 445 |
| Toyota Camry Hybrid (2025) | 700 |
| Samsung Galaxy A15 | 678 |
| Bose Soundbar 700 | 962 |
| Fitbit Versa 4 | 87 |
| Volvo XC60 (2023) | 921 |
| Brother MFC-L3770CDW | 703 |
| Honda CR-V (2026) | 746 |
| JBL Flip 4 | 20 |
If your model is on this list, click it directly. If not, fall back to the search field or category browse.
View or Download the PDF
After opening a manual page, you can read it in the browser or download the PDF. Page counts vary widely — from 20 pages (JBL Flip 4) to over 3000 (HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw) — so check the listed page count before downloading if you only need one section. The site also lets you ask other product owners if a manual is missing or unclear.
Common Snags and How to Work Around Them
- Too many results. Add the model number, not just the brand. "Canon" returns hundreds of printers; "Canon PIXMA TR4720" returns the specific 605-page manual.
- No results. Try alternate spellings or the brand's regional name, and check the category list — some models are filed under a category rather than surfaced by keyword.
- Wrong model in a series. Models that look similar (Canon PIXMA MG3620 vs. MG3650 vs. MG4250) have separate manuals with different page counts. Match the exact model string on your device label.
- Large downloads. Manuals over 1000 pages take longer to open; use the in-browser viewer first to confirm it's the right document.
What You Need Before You Start
Have your exact model number ready — it's usually on a label on the device, under the battery, or in the settings menu. With that string, the search field is the fastest path; without it, browse by brand and category. Either way, the result is a free PDF you can view or download.
