How to Find a Replacement Part or Specific Model on Gemini Valve
Updated
Use the Find Product Model menu and the Find Your Product Model ID tool on geminivalve.com to locate a specific valve or replacement part. If you are working with an older valve, check the Legacy series listings and the Legacy Model 400 Actuator Update notice before ordering, since some legacy models now map to current series.
Start With the Model Identification Tools
Gemini Valve provides two resources for narrowing down a model:
- Find Your Product Model ID — under the Resources menu, intended to help you identify which model you have.
- How to Configure Model Number — under Resources, useful when you need to build or decode a model number rather than match an existing one.
Both sit alongside User Manuals in the Resources menu, so you can move from identification to documentation in one place.
Browse by Category if You Don't Have a Model Number
If you only know the physical characteristics of the valve, the Products menu organizes the catalog along four independent dimensions:
| Dimension | Options listed |
|---|---|
| Actuation Type | Pneumatic Actuated, Electric Actuated, Manual |
| Body Material | Brass, Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel |
| Style | 2-Way, 3-Way, 2-Piece, 3-Piece |
| Size | NPS (1/4"–2") and DN (7.5mm–50mm) |
A By Features grouping also covers Food Grade, Vacuum, Timer Actuated Control, Failsafe, Lockable, and Weather Resistant ball valves. Combining one option from each dimension is the same path the homepage "Find the right ball valve" prompt describes.
Check the Legacy Series Before Assuming a Part Is Discontinued
The Legacy section lists older series that may still be relevant to a replacement search:
- 400 Series for 76, 86, 96 — described as the first in the ball valve industry to offer direct actuator-to-valve mounting.
- 400 Series for 89 — for 89 Series ball valves, which are now part of the Serviceable Series.
- 309 Series Diverter Ball Valves — a 90° three-port valve for diverter or selector service.
The 400 Series for 89 entry is the clearest example of a legacy-to-current mapping: if you have an 89 Series valve, the current home for it is the Serviceable Series, not the legacy listing.
Read the Legacy Model 400 Actuator Update
The site carries a notice titled Legacy Model 400 Actuator Update. If your replacement search involves a legacy 400 Series actuator, read this notice before ordering, because actuator compatibility is exactly the kind of detail that changes between legacy and current configurations.
When to Use Custom Solutions Instead
If your part does not appear under any series, size, or legacy listing, the Custom Solutions entry (available from both the main menu and the Products menu) is the appropriate path rather than forcing a match from the standard catalog.
Quick Sequence
- Try Find Your Product Model ID if you have any markings or documentation from the existing valve.
- If that fails, browse Products by actuation, material, style, and size.
- If the valve is older, scan the Legacy listings and the Legacy Model 400 Actuator Update notice.
- Confirm details against User Manuals or How to Configure Model Number.
- Fall back to Custom Solutions or Request a Quote if nothing matches.
