How to Find a UCHealth Location or Doctor and Schedule an Appointment

Updated

To find care through uchealth.org, use the Find a location tool to search hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies near you, or use Find a provider to locate a new doctor or book with an existing UCHealth provider. Primary care and urgent care both offer online scheduling, and urgent care can also be accessed by video or phone. The right path depends on whether you need a facility, a specific clinician, or immediate care.

Find a location: hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies

Use the location search when you know the type of facility you need but not the specific provider.

  1. Go to uchealth.org and select Find a location (labeled "Search for hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and more").
  2. Enter your search criteria to see matching facilities.
  3. Review the results and choose the site that fits your needs.

Expected result: a list of UCHealth hospitals, clinics, or pharmacies you can contact or visit.

Common snag: if your search returns nothing useful, broaden the area or try the provider search instead — some services are listed under a clinician rather than a standalone facility.

Find a provider: new doctor or existing appointment

Use the provider search when you need a specific type of doctor or want to schedule with a provider you already see.

  1. Select Find a provider on the homepage.
  2. Search for a new doctor, or look up your existing UCHealth provider.
  3. Schedule an appointment through the provider listing.

Expected result: a provider profile with a scheduling option.

Common snag: not every provider offers online booking. If no online slot appears, contact the clinic directly.

Primary care and urgent care: online scheduling

The homepage separates these two entry points, and they serve different needs:

Need Entry point What the site offers
Ongoing care, a regular doctor Primary care Schedule online with a network of doctors and providers
Quick, convenient care Urgent care Find a location near you, or see a provider by video/phone
  • Primary care: described as caring coming first, with highly skilled doctors and providers; scheduling is online.
  • Urgent care: described as convenient and affordable; you can visit a location or see a provider by video/phone.

Expected result: a booked primary care visit or an urgent care location/video session.

Common snag: video and phone visits are listed under urgent care on the homepage. If you need a video appointment for something else, check the Video appointments link under "Important links for you."

Specialty care

For conditions beyond primary care, the Specialty care entry states UCHealth provides care for virtually all medical conditions, from ADHD to Zika. Select Get started to begin, then use the provider search to find the right specialist.

Manage your care after booking

The UCHealth app is described as the home for your health care and wellness needs. Per the site, you can use it to schedule online, message your care team, refill prescriptions, pay bills, and track wellness goals. Related account tasks — signing up for an account, requesting medical records, setting up family access, and paying or understanding a bill — are collected under "Important links for you."
