How to Find and Download a Specific Month's Almanack & Garden Journal

Updated

The Almanack (thealmanack.com) publishes its Almanack & Garden Journal as monthly downloadable pages, and each month gets its own blog post containing the download link. To find a specific month, scroll the blog feed to the post titled for that month and year (for example, "August 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal"), then open the link inside that post. The site is a chronological blog, so the most recent month appears at the top and older months are reached by scrolling down or using the "Older Posts" link at the bottom.

How the journal pages are organized

Each entry follows the same pattern: a post dated near the end of the preceding month, a heading naming the month and year, a short line introducing the link, and the download link itself.

Post title What it links to Post date
September - October 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal September & October 2026 pages (combined) August 31, 2026
August 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal August 2026 page July 31, 2026
July 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal July 2026 page June 30, 2026
June 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal June 2026 page May 30, 2026
May 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal May 2026 page April 29, 2026
April 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal April 2026 page March 31, 2026
January-March 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal January, February & March 2026 pages (combined) January 25, 2026

Two things stand out from this structure:

  • Some posts cover more than one month. The January-March 2026 post bundles three months into a single entry, and the September-October 2026 post covers two. If you can't find a standalone post for a given month, check whether it was folded into a combined one.
  • Posts are published ahead of the month they cover. The August 2026 post is dated July 31, 2026. So if you're looking for the current month, it may already be posted; if you're looking for next month, check back near the end of the current one.

Steps to locate a specific month

  1. Open thealmanack.com. The homepage shows the blog feed with the newest post first.
  2. Scan the post titles for the month and year you want. Titles are formatted as "[Month] [Year] Almanack & Garden Journal."
  3. If the month isn't visible on the first screen, scroll down through the feed. Posts are in reverse chronological order, so older months are further down.
  4. If you reach the bottom without finding it, click Older Posts to load the next page of entries and continue scanning.
  5. Once you find the right post, click the download link inside it. The link text matches the post title (for example, "August 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal").
  6. Save or print the downloaded page for use during that month.

Expected result: you land on the post for your target month and the link opens or downloads that month's journal page.

Common snags

  • The month you want doesn't have its own post. Check the combined posts first — early-year months (January-March) and some later pairs (September-October) are grouped together.
  • You're looking for a month that hasn't been published yet. The site posts each month's page roughly a month in advance and notes "Check back for additional months of the 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal!" on recent entries, so a future month may simply not be up yet.
  • You need a month from a previous year. The visible feed covers 2026; earlier years require paging back through Older Posts or using the blog archive in the sidebar.
  • The feed is long. Because every month is its own post, expect to scroll or page through several entries to reach earlier months.

What you get

Each download is a page from the Almanack & Garden Journal — a downloadable almanac and gardening journal for recording your gardening activities. The site describes itself exactly that way, so the pages are intended to be printed or saved and filled in as you work in the garden, with one page (or set of pages) per month.
