How to Find NBC's TV Schedule and Upcoming Live Sports on NBC.com
Updated
NBC.com's homepage surfaces both in one place: the "Upcoming on NBC" block shows the next live broadcast, and the "Live & Upcoming" list gives dated, timed entries for sports and other live events. To check a specific show's regular slot, look at the time label printed under its title (for example, "MONDAYS 8/7c"). All times on the page are Eastern, with the second figure being the Pacific equivalent.
Where the schedule information lives
"Upcoming on NBC" — the next live broadcast
This block leads the page and names a single upcoming event with its start time. In the captured page it reads: "Upcoming on NBC, Live at 7:00 PM Sunday October 25th, NFL, Chiefs vs. Seahawks." Use it as a quick answer to "what's on next," not as a full-day listing.
"Live & Upcoming" — the dated list
This is the section to use for planning. Each row combines a time, a day and date, a league, and the matchup. Entries from the page include:
| Time | Day / Date | League | Event |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7:00 PM | Sun Oct 25 | NBA | Pistons vs. Sixers |
| 7:00 PM | Sun Oct 25 | NFL | Chiefs vs. Seahawks |
| 8:00 PM | Sun Oct 25 | NFL | Kansas City Chiefs vs. Seattle Seahawks |
| 8:30 PM | Sun Oct 25 | NBA | Grizzlies vs. Kings |
| 6:30 PM | Mon Oct 26 | NBA | Bulls vs. Celtics |
| 6:30 PM | Mon Oct 26 | NFL | Eagles Pregame Live |
| 11:30 PM | Mon Oct 26 | NFL | Eagles Postgame Live |
Note that the same matchup can appear twice with different start times (the 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM Chiefs–Seahawks rows). Treat the list as a feed of broadcast windows rather than a deduplicated schedule, and confirm the time closest to the event before you plan around it.
Show time slots
Scripted and unscripted series carry their regular slot directly under the title on the homepage cards:
- The Voice — "MONDAYS 8/7c," with the note that Queen Latifah and Riley Green join the coaching panel for a milestone new season.
- Line of Fire — "MONDAYS 10/9c," a new drama starring Peter Krause and Hope Davis about a family of federal agents.
The "8/7c" format means 8:00 PM Eastern / 7:00 PM Central. A card labeled only "MONDAYS" without a time gives you the day but not the slot.
Step-by-step: checking a date and time
- Open nbc.com. The homepage loads with "Upcoming on NBC" at the top and "Live & Upcoming" further down.
- Scan "Live & Upcoming" for your date. Rows are ordered by time within each day, and the list runs across multiple days (Sunday Oct 25 through Tuesday Oct 27 in the captured page).
- Match the league and teams. Sports rows are prefixed with NFL, NBA, or NASCAR, so you can skip unrelated entries quickly.
- Read the time as Eastern. Convert if you're in another zone; the page does not display a local-time toggle.
- Cross-check against the show card if you're looking for a series rather than a game — the slot under the title is the regular weekly time, while the live list covers one-off broadcasts.
- Verify before relying on it. The page is a snapshot; schedules shift for live sports, so re-check on the day of the event.
What else the page tells you about availability
- Full episodes and clips are the site's stated purpose: "Watch full episodes of current and classic NBC shows online. Plus find clips, previews, photos and exclusive online features."
- "Latest Episodes" lists recent episodes with season/episode numbers and air dates, and flags status such as NEW, EXPIRING TODAY, or PREMIERE. Expiring episodes are worth noting if you plan to watch later — the page marks them but doesn't state how long they remain.
- Some titles point to Peacock. The Friday the 13th prequel starring Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees is labeled "NOW STREAMING ON PEACOCK" with a "STREAM NOW" action, so that title is not watchable on NBC.com itself. The page does not state Peacock pricing or whether a login is required.
- Trailers for Peacock titles (Crystal Lake, Disclosure Day, The Paper, and others) are listed as clips with dates, useful for previewing without committing to a stream.
Common snags
- Duplicate matchups with different times. As with the Chiefs–Seahawks rows, pick the time that matches the broadcast you intend to watch rather than assuming the first entry is correct.
- Pregame and postgame shows (Eagles Pregame Live, Eagles Postgame Live) appear in the same list as games; don't mistake them for the event itself.
- Day-only labels. A show card that says "MONDAYS" without a time won't tell you when to tune in; use the live list or the show's own page.
- Time zone. Everything is Eastern-based. If you're on the West Coast, the "8/7c" format already gives you the Pacific hour.
- Expiring episodes. Items marked EXPIRING TODAY can drop off the site, so start those first if they're your priority.
