How to Find the Right Announcements on the Osaka Metropolitan University Temporary Notice Site (omu.moe)

The omu.moe homepage is a temporary notice site that publishes announcements from Osaka Metropolitan University, the college of technology (kōsen), and the affiliated hospital while the university's regular websites are down due to a large-scale system failure. Each audience group has its own link on the homepage, so you pick your category first and then read the notices posted there.

Steps to reach the right page

  1. Open the omu.moe homepage.
  2. Find the section that matches your role or interest in the list above.
  3. Select that entry to open its page of notices.
  4. Read the announcements there. If you need a different category later, return to the homepage and choose another entry.

The homepage also has an "すべてのお知らせ" (All announcements) link and a "臨時サービス一覧" (list of temporary services) link, plus an "OMUエントランスページ" (OMU entrance page) link, in case your information is not under a specific audience heading.

Things to know before you rely on the site

  • This is a stopgap site. It exists only until the official websites are restored, so check back for updates.
  • Email is only partly working. According to the site, email resumed on October 13, but messages sent on or before October 12 may not have arrived and should be resent.
  • Student email is still down. Addresses at @st.osaka-cu.ac.jp, mailing lists, and shared mail addresses were still suspended at the time of the notice.
  • Language toggle. The homepage offers 日本語 and English switches; English-language announcements and inquiries are handled through the International Affairs entry.
