How to Find the Right Capital Group Retirement Plan Website Using Your Plan ID
Updated
Your plan ID determines which Capital Group retirement plan website you should use. According to Capital Group's home page, you can find your plan ID on your account statement, then match its prefix to the correct site:
- If your plan ID begins with IRK, BRK, 1, or 2, go to Capitalgroup.com/participant.
- If your plan ID begins with 34 or 135, go to Capitalgroup.com/participant/planpremier.
If you're not sure which role applies to you, the site also offers a "Select another role" option on the same page.
Where to Find Your Plan ID
Capital Group's guidance states that your plan ID is available on your account statement. Look for it there before choosing a website — the prefix is what tells you which login page applies to your employer-sponsored retirement plan.
Matching Your Plan ID to the Correct Website
| Plan ID begins with | Website to use |
|---|---|
| IRK, BRK, 1, or 2 | Capitalgroup.com/participant |
| 34 or 135 | Capitalgroup.com/participant/planpremier |
If You're Unsure of Your Role
The Capital Group home page includes a "Who are you?" prompt for retirement plan investors, along with a "Select another role" option. If the retirement plan investor path doesn't match your situation, use that option to pick a different role and reach the appropriate entry point.
What to Keep in Mind
