How to Find WQLN PBS and NPR TV and Radio Schedules
Updated
You can find WQLN's schedules on wqln.org through the Television Schedule and Radio Schedule links on the homepage. The TV section covers WQLN PBS and other channels, and it includes a printable monthly PBS 54.1 schedule. The radio section provides weekly and monthly WQLN NPR schedules. These pages show program times, but the homepage does not state how far ahead the listings run, so check the schedule page itself for the current period.
Where the schedule links are on wqln.org
The WQLN homepage presents the schedules as two separate entry points:
| What you want | Link to look for | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| TV listings | Television Schedule | WQLN PBS and other channels; links to "View Now" |
| Printable PBS monthly grid | WQLN PBS Monthly Schedule | WQLN PBS 54.1 printable schedule; "Read Now" |
| Radio listings | Radio Schedule | WQLN NPR weekly and monthly schedule; "View Now" |
The homepage also has a PBS KIDS Live Stream link and a Community Calendar. The live stream is for watching, not for checking airtimes, and the community calendar lists events rather than program schedules.
Checking TV times
- Open wqln.org.
- Select Television Schedule (labeled "Schedules for WQLN PBS and other channels — View Now").
- Use the listing for the channel you want. Because the page covers more than one channel, confirm you are reading the row or tab for WQLN PBS rather than another channel.
- If you want a paper or offline copy, use WQLN PBS Monthly Schedule ("WQLN PBS 54.1 printable schedule — Read Now") and print the monthly grid.
Expected result: you see program titles mapped to times for the current schedule period. If a program you expect is missing, check whether you are looking at the correct channel within the multi-channel listing.
Checking radio times
- From the homepage, select Radio Schedule ("WQLN NPR weekly and monthly schedule — View Now").
- Choose the weekly view for day-to-day planning or the monthly view for a longer look.
- Match the program name to the time slot. The homepage's "Catch Up on Local Radio Shows" section lists local shows with episode dates and listen durations (for example, Chautauqua Lecture Series, Dark Skies, Jazz, Ballads & Blues, and Saturday Swing Session). That section is for listening after broadcast; use the Radio Schedule for upcoming airtimes.
Expected result: a weekly or monthly grid of NPR programming. If a local show appears in the catch-up list but not in the schedule you opened, switch between the weekly and monthly views.
Common sticking points
- Mixing up the two schedule types. Television and radio schedules are separate pages. A TV program will not appear on the radio schedule, and vice versa.
- Assuming the printable grid covers every channel. The printable schedule is specifically the WQLN PBS 54.1 monthly schedule. For other channels, use the Television Schedule page.
- Treating the live stream or catch-up list as a schedule. The PBS KIDS Live Stream and the local radio show list with "Listen" durations are playback options, not airtime references.
- Expecting prices or account requirements to be listed. The homepage does not describe any cost or login needed to view schedules, so do not assume either way; open the schedule link and see what it asks for.
For current and upcoming program times, the schedule pages themselves are the authoritative source. Start with the Television Schedule or Radio Schedule link, then use the printable monthly PBS grid or the weekly/monthly radio view depending on how far ahead you need to plan.
