How to Find Your Language or Regional Edition on The Gospel Coalition

Updated

The Gospel Coalition (TGC) publishes a U.S. Edition plus a set of regional and language editions, and you switch between them from the Editions menu near the top of the site. The same menu is where you return to the U.S. Edition. Newsletter sign-ups and podcast subscriptions sit on separate pages and feeds, not inside the Editions menu.

Switch editions from the Editions menu

  1. Open thegospelcoalition.org. The homepage loads the U.S. Edition by default and labels it "U.S. Edition" in the header area.
  2. Find the Editions control next to that label (the page shows an "Editions ×" toggle that opens the list).
  3. Pick your edition from the list. The page content then loads in that edition's language or region.

The editions listed on the page are:

Edition Notes
U.S. Edition Default; the main English edition
Africa Regional English edition
عربي Arabic
Australia Regional English edition
Brasil Portuguese (Brazil)
正體中文 Traditional Chinese
简体中文 Simplified Chinese
Español Spanish
Français French
India Regional English edition
Italia Italian
한국어 Korean
Nederlands Dutch
Norden Nordic region
Shqip Albanian
Русский Russian
Slovenský Slovak
Українська Ukrainian

Expected result: after selecting an edition, article headlines and navigation appear in that language or regional variant. To go back, reopen the Editions menu and choose U.S. Edition.

Common snag: the Editions control is a header element, so on a narrow phone screen it may sit inside the collapsed menu rather than beside the logo. If you don't see it, open the site menu first.

Subscribe to newsletters and Bible-reading emails

TGC runs separate sign-up pages for its email lists, reached from the newsletter links on the site:

  • Gospelbound newsletter: https://pages.thegospelcoalition.org/subscribe-gospelbound
  • Read the Bible email list: https://pages.thegospelcoalition.org/subscribe-read-the-bible

These are hosted on TGC's pages. subdomain, so expect a dedicated sign-up form rather than a checkbox inside an article. The site materials don't state whether either list is free or requires an account, so check the form itself before entering your address.

Subscribe to TGC podcasts

Podcast episodes are distributed through standard feeds, and the site lists three subscription routes under its podcast section:

  • Apple Podcasts — subscribe from the Apple Podcasts app or link.
  • Spotify — follow the show in Spotify.
  • RSS — paste the feed URL into any podcast app that accepts custom feeds.

The homepage shows this trio of options alongside a "Watch on YouTube" link for video episodes, so you can follow in audio or video. If a specific show doesn't appear in your podcast app's search, the RSS route is the reliable fallback.

Deciding which edition to use

  • Choose a language edition (عربي, 简体中文, Español, Français, 한국어, Русский, and the others above) if you want to read and share articles in that language.
  • Choose a regional English edition (Africa, Australia, India, Norden) if you want English content framed for that region's church context.
  • Stay on U.S. Edition for the fullest English archive and the featured articles shown on the homepage, such as the current pieces on pastoral ministry, the Hebrew Roots Movement, and Gen-Z ministry.

Edition choice affects what you see on the site; it doesn't change your newsletter or podcast subscriptions, which you manage through the links above.
