How to Get Started with GDDP (gddp.pro)
Updated
GDDP is a Geometry Dash progression project that ranks demon levels into tiers from Beginner to Obsidian, so you can work through them in order and steadily build skill. To get started, create an account on gddp.pro, link your Discord, and then pick the entry point that matches what you want: the private server, the Geode mod, or a staff application. All of these are free to use; the paid option is only the optional supporter subscription.
What GDDP actually is
The project was started by Trusta and is currently run by Trusta, ElohmroW, Iron, and a staff team. Its core idea is simple: instead of jumping between random demons, you follow a handcrafted list ordered by difficulty. Completing tiers from Beginner up to Obsidian is meant to consistently raise your ability in the game.
Alongside the progression list, the site offers a completion tracker and leaderboards.
Step 1: Create an account and link Discord
- Go to gddp.pro and create an account.
- Link your Discord account to it.
Linking Discord matters because the community side of GDDP — the private server and its channels — runs through Discord. The site's own call to action is exactly this: "Create an account, link your Discord, and go discover the GDDP!"
Step 2: Choose how you want to participate
| What you want | What to do | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Track progress through the tier list | Create an account, use the completion tracker | Core free feature |
| Join the community | Join the private server | Requires linked Discord |
| See your progress in-game | Install the GDDP Geode mod | Geode mod for Geometry Dash |
| Help run the project | Apply via the site | Staff application form |
| Extra perks | Subscribe as a supporter | $3.99/mo |
Step 3: Join the private server
The private server is the community hub. Access is tied to your account and Discord link, so do Step 1 first. If you want instant access plus additional benefits, the supporter subscription grants it — but the standard route is simply creating an account and joining.
Step 4: Install the GDDP Geode mod
The site provides a "Get the GDDP Geode mod!" option. This is a Geode mod for Geometry Dash, which lets the progression system integrate with your game rather than living only on the website. Install it if you want your in-game completions to feed into the GDDP tracking.
Step 5: Apply to join the team (optional)
If you want to contribute rather than just progress, the site has an "Apply Now" entry point for staff. This is separate from normal membership — you don't need it to use the tier list.
Optional: supporter subscription
For $3.99/month you get:
- No ads
- 10 slots in favorites/loathe lists
- A unique supporter badge on your profile
- Exclusive profile picture flair
- Private server Discord role and exclusive channel access
- Priority leaderboard submission reviews
The site states all payments go toward running costs. This is optional — nothing above requires it.
A note on Twitch streams
GDDP has a Twitch stream list. To appear there, your stream must be set to the Geometry Dash game and have [GDDP] as the first text in the stream title. Using the GDDP tag while not primarily streaming GDDP will get you banned from the stream list. At the time of writing there were no active GDDP streams.
Common sticking points
- Skipping the Discord link. The private server depends on it, so link Discord during account setup rather than later.
- Expecting the mod to be required. It isn't — the website tracker works on its own. The mod is for in-game integration.
- Confusing supporter access with normal access. Supporter gives instant server access and perks, but the standard account path is the intended starting point.
- Assuming there's a cost to begin. The tier list, tracker, and leaderboards are the free core; only the supporter tier is paid.
