How to Join Sunday Worship at Modesto Church of the Brethren

Updated

Sunday worship at Modesto Church of the Brethren (MCOB) starts at 11:00 am and can be attended in person or watched live on YouTube. The in-person service is held at 2301 Woodland Ave., Modesto, CA 95358. For the livestream, the site points visitors to the church's YouTube channel, where services are posted under the name "Modesto CoB."

In-Person Worship

  • Time: Sunday, 11:00 am
  • Location: 2301 Woodland Ave., Modesto, CA 95358
  • What to expect: The congregation describes itself as Open and Affirming and states in its Welcome Statement that it embraces people of every age, race, sexual orientation, ethnic and religious background, physical and mental ability, and economic means.

If you are visiting for the first time, arriving a few minutes before 11:00 am gives you time to find seating and get oriented before the service begins.

Watching on YouTube Live

The homepage lists the service as available "In-Person or YouTube Live." The church's YouTube presence appears as Modesto CoB (@modcob), with recent uploads titled by date, such as "Modesto CoB Worship for September 20 2026" and "Modesto CoB Worship for September 13 2026."

To watch:

  1. Go to the church's YouTube channel (linked from the site's social media section, alongside Facebook and Instagram).
  2. Look for the current Sunday's service, or open the channel at 11:00 am to catch the live stream.
  3. If you miss the live broadcast, the dated worship videos remain on the channel, so you can watch a recent service afterward.

Checking for Schedule Changes

The site includes an Events & Calendar section in its navigation. Because the homepage only states the regular 11:00 am time, the calendar is the place to check if a particular Sunday differs — for example, around holidays or special services. If you are unsure, you can also contact the church office before attending.
