How to Play SNK Neo Geo Games on NEOGEOFUN

Updated

NEOGEOFUN (neogeofun.com) lets you play retro SNK Neo Geo games directly in your web browser. You open the site, pick a title from its game list, and the game runs in the page using Flash technology — no download or installation is required. The one condition that matters most: because the games run on Flash, you need a browser or environment that can still load Flash content, since modern browsers dropped built-in Flash support.

What NEOGEOFUN Is

NEOGEOFUN is a website dedicated to playing retro SNK Neo Geo games online. Its own description states it lets you "play retro SNK Neo Geo Games online in your web browser using flash technology, no download required."

That means the entire experience happens inside the browser tab:

  • No emulator to install
  • No ROM files to manage yourself
  • No account or software setup described on the site

The trade-off is the Flash dependency. Flash is no longer supported by default in current browsers, so the site's core mechanism is the main thing to plan around.

How to Play: Step by Step

  1. Open the site. Go to neogeofun.com in your browser.
  2. Browse the game list. The site presents games as entries you can select. For example, Andro Dunos appears as a title on the site, listed with a date (August 20, 2014) and a community rating (about 4.29 out of 5 from 99 votes).
  3. Select a game. Click the title you want to play. The game loads and runs in the browser via Flash.
  4. Play in the page. Controls and gameplay happen inside the browser window — there is no separate download step.

Expected result: the selected Neo Geo game starts running in your browser tab.

The Main Catch: Flash

Because NEOGEOFUN relies on Flash, the biggest practical issue is whether your browser can still run it. Modern versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari removed Flash support, so a game may fail to load even though the site itself opens fine.

If a game doesn't start, the problem is almost always the Flash layer, not the game selection. Options to consider:

  • Use a browser or environment that still supports Flash content
  • Check whether the site offers any alternative playback method (the site's own description specifies Flash, so this is the documented mechanism)
