How to Request Pricing or a Demo of Costimator®

Updated

MTI Systems provides two direct paths to get commercial information about Costimator®: a Request Pricing form and a Request Demo form on mtisystems.com. If you prefer to talk to someone first, you can also call 413-733-1972 or email [email protected]. The site also offers a "Get A Free Quote" option, which is aimed at getting a quote for your own parts rather than for the software itself. Existing customers use a separate Customer Portal for support, not for sales inquiries.

Requesting a Demo

A demo is the more useful first step if you are still evaluating whether Costimator® fits your shop. The site frames the demo around seeing the software "in action," including webinars, video blogs, shorts, and reels that show specific estimating tasks.

When you request a demo, be ready to describe:

  • Your manufacturing focus — the site separates machining of parts from sheet metal fabrication, and each has its own cost models.
  • Whether you work from 3D models or not — Costimator® can be used with or without the aid of a 3D model, so telling MTI which applies to you helps them target the demo.
  • Your quoting volume and process mix — for example, whether you need weld time models, laser cutting models, or slot milling models, all of which appear as sample cost models on the site.

Requesting Pricing

The Request Pricing entry is the direct route to commercial terms. The site does not publish price figures, tiers, or a self-serve checkout, so pricing has to come from MTI Systems directly. Use the same contact channels — the pricing form, phone, or email — and expect to describe your operation so they can scope the right configuration.

What to Know Before You Ask

Costimator® is positioned as cost estimating, quoting, and process planning software for manufacturers, used by companies worldwide. It comes pre-loaded with hundreds of industry-validated cost models (cycle time calculators) and activity-based time standards, and it supports ERP integration. Knowing these points helps you ask sharper questions in a demo or pricing conversation:

  • Which cost models match your processes (machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, laser cutting, and others shown on the site)?
  • How the software handles estimates with or without CAD data in your workflow?
  • What ERP integration would involve for your existing systems?

Common Pitfalls

  • Confusing the free quote with software pricing. "Get A Free Quote" refers to quoting your parts, not to a free software license or a published price.
  • Using the Customer Portal for sales questions. The portal is for existing customers; new pricing and demo requests go through the sales contact channels.
  • Skipping the demo and asking only for price. Because Costimator® is configured around your processes and cost models, a demo usually clarifies what you would actually be pricing.

For the fastest path: if you know your processes and want numbers, use Request Pricing; if you want to see the estimating workflow first, use Request Demo. Either way, phone and email reach the same team.
