How to Sign In or Create an Account on imaging.org for Conference Registration

Updated

imaging.org (the Society for Imaging Science and Technology, or IS&T) handles conference registration and recording access through a member/attendee account. To register for a conference or access recordings, you need to sign in with a username and password, or create a new account if you don't have one. The site also supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) tokens, and creating a new MFA token resets any existing tokens for that login.

Signing In

The site provides a Sign In entry point in the main navigation. The sign-in form asks for:

  • Username
  • Password

Both fields include recovery options:

  • Forgot? next to the password field
  • Forgot username? as a separate link

If you don't have credentials yet, use the Create Account link to register a new login.

Creating an Account

Select Create Account from the navigation or the sign-in area. You'll set up a username and password that you then use for:

  • Conference registration (the REGISTER links on upcoming conference listings)
  • Access to recorded sessions (REGISTER for Recordings links)
  • Any member or attendee functions tied to your IS&T login

MFA Tokens

The account system supports MFA tokens. If you create a new MFA token, the site warns that this will reset any existing tokens for this login. Confirm the prompt only if you intend to replace your current token — for example, if you've lost the device or app that held the old one.

Using Your Account for Conferences

Once signed in, you can act on the registration links shown for each event. Examples from the conference listings include:

Event Location Date Action
Conference Barcelona, Spain 2–6 November 2026 REGISTER / LEARN MORE
Conference Burlingame, CA 24–27 January 2027 LEARN MORE
Conference Boston, MA 20–23 July 2026 LEARN MORE
Recordings Online Jan 29; Feb 25; March 26; April 21 REGISTER for Recordings
Conference Fribourg, Switzerland 26–28 January 2026 VIEW PROGRAM
Conference Tokyo, Japan November 7–8 VIEW PROGRAM

Some listings offer REGISTER, others REGISTER for Recordings, and others only VIEW PROGRAM or LEARN MORE. Which action you see depends on whether the event is open for registration, whether recordings are available, or whether only the program is published.

Common Points to Check

  • Username vs. email: the form asks for a username, not an email address, so use the username you set at account creation.
  • Password recovery: use the Forgot? link if you can't sign in; use Forgot username? if you don't remember your login name.
  • MFA reset warning: creating a new MFA token invalidates old ones — don't do this casually if you still rely on an existing token.
  • Registration vs. recordings: these are separate links. Registering for a live conference doesn't automatically give you recordings, and vice versa.
