You can start playing Melvor Idle in a browser by either signing in, registering a new account, or choosing a "Skip" option to access the game without logging in. If you see a PlayFab connection error, sign-in may be temporarily unavailable, so you can retry later or clear the app cache.
Getting Into the Game
Melvor Idle is a web-based idle/incremental game inspired by RuneScape. The entry screen offers several ways to get in:
- Sign in with an existing account (email/password or a third-party sign-in option).
- Register a new account.
- Skip to access the game without signing in.
There are also separate access options listed for the base game and test servers:
- Access Base Game
- Access Test Server
- Access Test Server (DESKTOP)
- Access Test Server (MOBILE)
If you only want to try the game, the Skip option is the fastest route. If you want your progress tied to an account, register or sign in instead.
Signing In with a Third-Party Account
The login screen includes an "Or sign in with:" section, meaning third-party sign-in is supported alongside standard email/password login. The same applies on the registration side ("Or sign up with:"). If you prefer not to create a separate password, use the third-party option.
Forgot Your Password?
There is a "Forgot Password?" link on the sign-in screen. Use it if you cannot remember your credentials; the page also notes "Remember your password? Login now."
Handling PlayFab Connection Issues

PlayFab is the backend service handling authentication. When it has problems, login and registration can fail even though the game itself is fine. If you hit this:
- Wait and retry. Connection issues are usually temporary.
- Clear the app cache. The page includes a "Clear App Cache" option, which can resolve stale local data causing login problems.
- Try again later if the error persists.
