How to Submit a Resource, Commission, or Feedback to VTResources
Updated
VTResources accepts submissions through its Suggestions / Feedback section: use the submission form or the alternative document linked there, or contact @VTResources on Twitter by mention or DM. You can recommend a resource or commission (self-recommendation is allowed), report corrections, broken or incorrect links, typos, or flag issues with a listed person or item such as plagiarism, TOS breaches, or scamming. The page is run by Faf, who also runs the VTResources Twitter account.
What you can submit
The site lists these submission categories:
- Resource or commission recommendations — including your own work; self-recommendation is explicitly okay.
- Corrections — broken or incorrect links, spotted typos.
- Issues with listed people or items — plagiarism, breach of TOS, scamming or bad practices.
- Edit or removal requests — if you are listed and want your information changed or taken down.
How to submit
- Go to the Suggestions / Feedback section of the site.
- Choose one of the two linked options: the submission form or the alternative document.
- Fill in the details of your recommendation, correction, or report.
- Alternatively, tag or DM @VTResources on Twitter with the same information.
For Twitter, the site notes that if you made a post you want the account to retweet, send a mention to @VTResources or DM the post link.
What gets accepted or rejected
The page states several review rules, so check your submission against them before sending:
| Rule | What it means for your submission |
|---|---|
| Redundant resources/guides | The item with more coverage and recency is listed; some items may be combined |
| Redundant entries from the same creator | May be combined — asset/resource creators are encouraged to put everything in one place |
| Severely out-of-date resources | Removed or denied |
| Inactive commissions | Removed periodically |
| Commission suggestions lacking enough information | May be denied — having commission info in a website or Twitter bio/pin is appreciated |
| Questionable resources/creators | May be removed or denied |
Contacting the Twitter account
The site warns that the Twitter account does not respond to vague or conversational DMs. Send a message with details rather than opening with just "Hi," "Hello," or "I need help." It also notes that Twitter may automatically filter out DMs.
Background worth knowing
The resources were originally hosted on a Google Doc that became inaccessible after an erroneous takedown. The Doc later came back, but the site states that any future updates will be on the carrd page, not the Doc — so submit through the site or Twitter if you want your entry to stay current.
