How to Submit Your Website to WebCurate and What It Costs

Updated

WebCurate accepts website submissions through a short form, and there are two paid paths: a standard listing that costs a one-time $4 processing fee after review, and a Featured listing priced at $9–$19 with extra placement and a badge. If you want broader visibility, you can also buy a Promotional Banner at $119 per 30 days or a Main Header Featuring at $149 per 30 days. All submissions go through review first — you only pay once your site is approved.

The three submission options at a glance

Option Price What you get How it works
New Suggestion (standard) One-time $4 processing fee Standard listing in the directory Submit → review → if approved, you get an email and a payment link
Featured submission $9–$19 USD Featured placement and traffic, appearance on other site pages, feature highlighting, Featured badge and highlight, permanent appearance Submit → if accepted, you receive a payment link → page goes live instantly after purchase
Promotional Banner $119 / 30 days Clickable banner with your tagline and logo, shown on the homepage, category pages, and product pages Contact WebCurate to reserve
Main Header Featuring $149 / 30 days Large clickable preview (name, tagline, logo) next to the main header on the homepage Contact WebCurate to reserve

The banner and header placements are advertising slots rather than directory listings, so they're a separate decision from whether your site gets listed.

How the standard submission works

  1. Submit your site for review. WebCurate states that if your site is approved, they'll email you.
  2. Pay the $4 processing fee. WebCurate describes this as a small one-time fee to cover manual review and listing upkeep, paid before your site is added. The site notes the fee applies "if approved," so review comes first.
  3. Get listed. Once the fee is processed, your site is added to the directory.

This is the cheapest route and the one to pick if you mainly want a presence in the directory rather than prominent placement.

How the Featured submission works

The Featured option is priced at $9–$19 USD and bundles more than a plain listing:

  • Featured placement and traffic
  • Appearance on other website pages
  • Website feature highlighting
  • A Featured badge and highlight
  • Permanent appearance

The flow is: submit → if accepted, you receive a payment link → upon purchase, your website page goes live instantly. Note that "permanent appearance" is how WebCurate describes the Featured listing, while the standard listing is described only as being added to the directory — if longevity of placement matters to you, that's the main practical difference between the two.

Advertising placements: banner vs. header

Both ad options run for 30 days and are booked by contacting WebCurate directly (the site lists a contact email for booking and more information).

  • Promotional Banner ($119/30 days): a clickable banner made from your tagline and logo. It appears on the homepage, categories, and product pages — so it shows up across multiple page types.
  • Main Header Featuring ($149/30 days): a large clickable preview of your site (name, tagline, logo) displayed next to the main header on the homepage. It's the more prominent single position, at a higher price.

Choose the banner if you want repeated exposure across many pages; choose the header if you want one high-visibility spot on the homepage.

What to check before you pay

  • Review is a gate, not a formality. Both the standard and Featured paths say "if accepted" or "if approved," so payment follows acceptance rather than guaranteeing it.
  • The $4 fee is described as non-optional for standard listings. WebCurate frames it as covering manual review and listing upkeep.
  • Featured pricing is a range, not a fixed number. The site lists $9–$19 USD without breaking down what determines the price within that range, so confirm the exact amount when you receive your payment link.
  • Ad placements are time-boxed. Both banner and header run 30 days, unlike the Featured listing, which is described as permanent.
  • Payment happens after approval. For both listing types, you submit first and pay only once accepted — you won't be asked to pay upfront to enter review.

If your goal is simply to be findable in the directory, the $4 standard listing is the lowest-cost route. If you want placement, a badge, and cross-page visibility, the $9–$19 Featured option covers those. If you want on-site advertising rather than a listing, budget $119–$149 for a 30-day banner or header slot and reach out to WebCurate to book.
