How to Subscribe to a Star Publications Newspaper

Updated

Star Publications does not run a single checkout for all of its papers. To subscribe, start at star-pub.com, follow the "Subscribe today" prompt, and then confirm which publication you are signing up for on the subscription page. The site's subscribe link points to a Dairy Star subscription page, so if you want the Benton County Herald, Country Acres, Sauk Centre Herald, The Star Post, or Star Shopper instead, check the linked page for the current options before entering any payment details.

What Star Publications publishes

Star Publications is based in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, and lists these titles on its site:

  • Benton County Herald
  • Country Acres
  • Dairy Star
  • Sauk Centre Herald
  • Star Shopper
  • The Star Post

The company also describes itself as the "proud publisher of" its titles and runs a shop alongside the subscription prompt.

Steps to subscribe

  1. Go to star-pub.com.
  2. Find the "Subscribe today" prompt on the page.
  3. Select "Click here to subscribe." On the current site this link goes to dairystar.creativecirclemedia.com/subscribe/.
  4. On the subscription page, check which publication the offer covers and what term or delivery format is being sold.
  5. Complete the subscription using the options shown there.

The expected result is a subscription confirmation from the subscription page. If the page only shows Dairy Star options and you wanted a different title, use the contact details below rather than assuming the same offer applies.

Before you subscribe

  • Confirm the title. The subscribe link on the homepage leads to a Dairy Star page, so the offer you land on may be for that paper only.
  • Check the current price and term. Star Publications' site shows a subscribe prompt but does not list prices in the material available here, so read the terms on the subscription page itself.
  • Decide on delivery. The site does not state whether subscriptions are print, digital, or both, so verify this on the subscription page.

If the link does not cover your paper

Contact Star Publications directly to ask about the title you want:

  • Phone: 320-352-6577
  • Address: 522 Sinclair Lewis Ave., Sauk Centre, MN 56378
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; Saturday–Sunday, closed

Common snags

  • Landing on a Dairy Star page when you wanted a different publication.
  • Not seeing a price before you reach the subscription page.
  • Assuming one subscription covers multiple titles — the site does not say that it does.
