EnglishHow to Use the Realm Connect App for Los Altos United Methodist Church
Updated
Los Altos United Methodist Church (LAUMC) uses the Realm Connect app as its tool for staying connected with the congregation. According to the church's website, the app is how members connect with people, keep up with upcoming events and reminders, and stay plugged into the community. To use it, you download Realm Connect from your phone's app store, then search for the church's Realm community inside the app to join.
What the Realm Connect App Is For at LAUMC
The church's site lists "DOWNLOAD THE realm connect APP" as a primary way to engage, alongside worship, events, and giving. Based on the site's own framing, the app supports:
- Connecting with people — the site's "Connect With People Like You" section emphasizes finding your people through worship, fellowship, and prayer, and the app is the digital channel for that.
- Events and reminders — the "Upcoming Events & Reminders" section points members to a full list of activities, which the app helps you track.
- Staying in the loop — the site describes LAUMC as "a welcoming, close-knit community," and the app is positioned as the way to stay connected between services.
How to Download It
The church's page is explicit about one important detail: the provided links take you to the respective store's home page, not directly to the app. From there you search for "Realm Connect."
- Open the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play Store (Android) on your device.
- Search for "Realm Connect."
- Download and install the app.
- Open it and follow the in-app steps to find and join the LAUMC community.
Because the site's links only lead to the store home pages, don't expect a one-tap install — the search step is required.
Joining the Church's Realm Community
The website confirms the app exists and that you should search for it in the stores, but it does not publish a step-by-step guide for finding LAUMC's specific Realm community inside the app. What the site does tell you:
- The app is the church's designated connection tool, so the LAUMC community should be discoverable by name once you're in the app.
- If you can't find it, the site's Contact Us / Prayer Request page and Newsletter are the listed ways to reach the church directly for help.

A Reasonable First Task
If you're new, a concrete way to start: download Realm Connect, search for Los Altos United Methodist Church, join the community, then check the events list so you know what's coming up. That matches the three things the site highlights — connection, events, and community — and gives you a reason to open the app again.
