How to Visit UCA: Open Days, Campus Tours and Virtual Tours
Updated
You can visit UCA in three main ways: attend an open day (the site currently highlights 17 October), book a campus tour, or take a virtual tour from home. All three are listed on the uca.ac.uk website under the Open Days menu, which also links to virtual tours, campus tours, other events and webinars for future students. Use the open day if you want the fullest picture of a campus and course; use a campus tour for a quieter, more targeted look; use virtual tours and webinars if you cannot travel or want to explore before committing to a trip.
Start from the Open Days section
The site's Open Days menu is the main entry point for visiting. It groups the options as:
- Upcoming Open Days – scheduled open day dates, including the advertised 17 October open day.
- Virtual Tours – online tours you can take without travelling.
- Campus Tours – in-person tours of individual campuses.
- Meet UCA at an event – events where UCA is represented outside its own campuses.
- Upcoming webinars – online sessions for future students.
If you already know which campus interests you, the Campuses menu lists Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone and TV Studios, and each campus page includes a Virtual Tours link alongside facilities and accessibility information.
Choose the visit that fits your question
| Visit type | Best for | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Open day (e.g. 17 October) | Choosing a course or confirming UCA is right for you | A scheduled event covering courses, campuses and student life; the site also links Portfolio Advice and Personal Statements guidance for applicants |
| Campus tour | Seeing one specific campus and its facilities | A focused in-person visit; check the campus page for Accessibility at UCA and Facilities & Resources first |
| Virtual tour | Exploring from home or shortlisting before travelling | Online views of campuses, listed under Virtual Tours in the Open Days menu and on campus pages |
| Webinar | Getting answers without travelling | Online sessions listed under Upcoming webinars and Webinars for Future Students |
Practical steps
- Open uca.ac.uk and go to the Open Days menu.
- Check Upcoming Open Days for the next date (the site currently advertises 17 October) and any booking details on that page.
- If no open day suits you, open Campus Tours and pick the campus you want to see: Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone or the TV Studios.
- Can't travel? Use Virtual Tours from the same menu, or the virtual tour link on your chosen campus page.
- Before any in-person visit, read Accessibility at UCA and the campus's Facilities & Resources page so you know what to expect.
- If you are preparing an application, look at How To Apply, Portfolio Advice and Personal Statements before you visit, so you can ask specific questions.
Expected result: you leave with a confirmed date or booking route, a shortlist of campuses to see, and questions prepared for staff or current students (the site also offers Chat to a Student).
Common sticking points
- The open day date may change. Treat 17 October as the date currently shown and confirm it on the Upcoming Open Days page before arranging travel.
- Not every campus may run every type of visit. Check the individual campus page rather than assuming all five locations offer the same tours.
- International applicants have extra steps. The International section covers Entry Requirements, English language requirements, Scholarships & Fees and Visas & Immigration; review these before booking a visit so you can ask the right questions.
- Don't rely on the homepage alone. The visit options sit in the Open Days menu and on campus pages; the homepage mainly promotes the next open day.
