EnglishIs Giant Robot Club Still Updating Its Comics?
Updated
Giant Robot Club's own site news does not show updates after April 2021, so there is no public evidence on giantrobot.club that its comics are still being updated. The site still hosts and links to its comic series, but the latest dated news entries are from April 29, 2021, and the most recent story-related post before that is from December 3, 2020. If you are deciding whether to start reading, treat the comics as a completed or dormant archive rather than an actively updating series, and check the community channels for any newer word.
What the site itself shows
The news section on giantrobot.club lists dated posts, and the newest ones are:
| Date | Post |
|---|---|
| April 29, 2021 | Just FYI we do have a Discord! |
| April 27, 2021 | Spring Cleaning |
| February 9, 2021 | Let me tell you about my Waifu |
| December 3, 2020 | ADVENTURERS!!TWO and ADVENTURERS!ONE |
| September 14, 2020 | What's goin on here, eh!? |
| August 26, 2020 | A post about a pun |
| June 20, 2020 | Do Your Part: Vote for Rashart/Moondale 2020 |
| June 3, 2020 | What the heckaroonie is this |
Two things follow from this list. First, the latest activity the site documents is administrative and community-oriented (a Discord announcement and site maintenance), not a new comic page. Second, the last post that clearly touches on the comics themselves is the December 2020 note about ADVENTURERS!!TWO and ADVENTURERS!ONE. Nothing dated 2022 or later appears in the site news.
What is still available to read
Dormant does not mean gone. The site continues to present its comics and reading links:
- Antihero for Hire — described as the ongoing encounters of night-time superhero Shadehawk against a baffling rogues gallery. The site's tagline is "Villains thwarted, rock bottom prices."
- ADVENTURERS!!TWO — framed around "open world problems," following Protagonist through a destroyed world.
- ADVENTURERS! — the original classic JRPG parody comic, with Karn, Ardam, and the rest of the party on a quest to defeat Dark Lord Khrima.
The site also points to off-site reading and discussion options: Webtoon and Tapas for Antihero for Hire, a Discord for discussing the comics, TopWebComics voting pages for both ADVENTURERS!!TWO and Antihero for Hire, and TVTropes pages for ADVENTURERS! and Antihero for Hire.
How to check for newer updates yourself
Because the site news stops in 2021, the most reliable way to find out whether anything has changed is to look at the channels the site itself links to:
- Open the Discord linked from the site and check recent messages or announcements.
- Check the Webtoon and Tapas listings for Antihero for Hire, since those platforms show their own update dates.
- Look at the TopWebComics pages, which sometimes reflect recent reader activity.
- Re-check the site news page in case a newer post has been added since this information was gathered.
If none of those show activity after April 2021, the practical conclusion is that Giant Robot Club is not currently publishing new comic updates on a visible schedule.
