Is the 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal Complete, and How Often Is It Updated?
Updated
No — the 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal is not complete. As of the latest post on the site, the journal covers January through October 2026, and the site states that the final months of the 2026 journal are still to come. New installments are published as blog posts, roughly once a month, each covering one month or a two-month block.
What has been published so far
The Almanack (thealmanack.com) is a downloadable almanac and gardening journal for recording your gardening activities. Its 2026 journal has been released in installments, each announced in a separate blog post:
| Post date | Journal installment released |
|---|---|
| January 25, 2026 | January–March 2026 |
| March 31, 2026 | April 2026 |
| April 29, 2026 | May 2026 |
| May 30, 2026 | June 2026 |
| June 30, 2026 | July 2026 |
| July 31, 2026 | August 2026 |
| August 31, 2026 | September–October 2026 |
So the year is covered in blocks rather than as a single file: the first release bundled three months, and later releases have come one or two months at a time.
How often it is updated
Updates appear as new blog posts, and the pattern in the 2026 posts is roughly monthly. Each post links to the journal pages for the upcoming month or months, and each one ends with a note to check back for additional months of the 2026 journal.
Two things follow from that:
- The posting rhythm is close to monthly, but not on a fixed calendar day — the 2026 posts went up on January 25, March 31, April 29, May 30, June 30, July 31, and August 31.
- The site does not publish a schedule of future release dates, so the only reliable signal that a new installment exists is a new post appearing on the blog.
What is still missing
The September–October 2026 installment is the most recent one posted, and the post itself says to check back for the final months of the 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal. That means November and December 2026 have not yet been released, and the 2026 journal will only be complete once those final months are posted.
How to check whether a new installment is out
- Open thealmanack.com and look at the most recent blog post at the top of the page.
- Read the post title — it names the month or months covered (for example, "September - October 2026 Almanack & Garden Journal").
- Follow the link in the post body to reach that installment's journal pages.
- If the newest post is the one you already have, nothing newer has been published yet; check back later, since posts have appeared at the end of each month.
If you want a specific month rather than the latest one, scroll back through older posts — each month of 2026 has its own post, so the archive is the way to find an earlier installment.
