Seasonal vs. Nightly Stays at KOK Campground: Which Fits Your Trip?

Updated

KOK Campground in Grande-Digue, New Brunswick offers two ways to stay: a full-season site for the May 15–September 30, 2026 season, or a nightly site at $55.00 per night (HST included). Choose the seasonal option if you plan to camp repeatedly through the summer and want a permanent base; choose the nightly option if you're passing through or want to try the campground before committing. Both include full-service hookups (water, 30-amp electricity, sewer), but the pricing structure, reservation process, and included extras differ.

Seasonal Sites: What You Get

The seasonal option is built for campers who want to leave their RV in place for the whole summer.

  • Season dates: May 15–September 30, 2026
  • Site types: Full-service seasonal sites, with separate pricing for Site A and Site B
  • What's included: Seasonal site fees cover the site for the season; the campground publishes senior rates, an electricity deposit requirement, a payment schedule, and the services included across the season
  • Site amenities: 160 full-service sites with 30-amp service, plus a picnic table and fire pit at each site

Because seasonal pricing varies by site (A vs. B) and by camper category (e.g., senior rates), you need to check the campground's seasonal rates page for the actual numbers rather than assume a single flat fee. The electricity deposit and payment schedule are also seasonal-specific details worth confirming before you commit.

Choose seasonal if: you'll use the site multiple times across the summer, want to avoid setting up and tearing down each trip, and are comfortable with a deposit and a payment schedule.

Nightly Stays: What You Get

The nightly option is simpler and priced per night.

Detail Nightly Stay
Rate $55.00 per night, HST included
Hookups Fully serviced: water, 30-amp electricity, sewer
Included units One RV and one vehicle
Showers Paid showers available
Reservations Advance reservation recommended

Choose nightly if: you're staying a short time, traveling through the area, or want to experience the campground before deciding on a seasonal commitment. Note that showers cost extra on nightly stays, so factor that into your budget.

Shared Facilities Regardless of Stay Type

Both seasonal and nightly campers draw on the same campground amenities:

  • Beach access: The campground has its own beach access, and Caissie Cape Beach is about a 5-minute walk. Cap de Cocagne, Gallant, and Ocean Breeze beaches are a short drive away; Parlee Beach is about 20 minutes away. Low tide times are posted in the store up to 3 days ahead so you can plan around the sand bars.
  • Recreation: Heated 18 × 50 pool, playground, tetherball, horseshoe pits, soccer field, volleyball and basketball, and a recreation hall with darts, air hockey, foosball, and movies.
  • Convenience: Campers' store (ice, ice cream, candy, basic groceries, firewood, games, puzzles, book exchange), adult exercise room, community garden, laundromat, Wi-Fi, clean washrooms and hot showers, and 24-hour security.
  • Office services: Printing and fax. Pets are welcome on leash.
  • Activities: Weekly updates and larger monthly events (kids' days, adult dances) are posted on the bulletin board in front of the Recreation Hall.

How to Decide

Ask yourself three questions:

  1. How many nights will you actually camp? If the total of nightly rates across your planned trips approaches or exceeds the seasonal fee for your site type, seasonal likely wins on cost — but you need the seasonal rate figures to confirm.
  2. Do you want a fixed spot all summer? Seasonal means your site stays set up; nightly means you book each stay and may get a different site.
  3. Can you handle the seasonal logistics? The electricity deposit and payment schedule are seasonal-only requirements, so factor in the upfront cost and paperwork.

If you're unsure, the nightly rate is the low-commitment way to test the campground's atmosphere, beach access, and facilities before signing on for a full season.

What to Confirm Before Booking

The campground's published material points to a rates page for complete seasonal pricing and details. Before you decide, verify:

  • The exact seasonal fee for Site A vs. Site B
  • Senior rate eligibility and amount
  • The electricity deposit amount and whether it's refundable
  • The payment schedule (how much is due when)
  • Which services are included in the seasonal fee versus charged separately
  • Whether nightly rates change by date or availability

For nightly stays, confirm current availability and whether the paid showers are coin-operated or otherwise charged, since the rate itself covers the site and hookups but not showers.
