What Amountle+ Includes and Whether Paying Affects Your Scores

Updated

Amountle+ is a one-time purchase that unlocks archive replay, guessing-pattern stats, a leaderboard name style, and two streak freezes. It does not change how your guesses are scored or where you rank — the site states plainly that "purchases never affect scores or ranks," and the game stays ad-free and non-pay-to-win. If you only want the daily puzzle, you don't need to buy anything.

What Amountle+ actually gives you

The shop lists Amountle+ at $9.99 as "one purchase, yours forever," alongside a Founding Player tier at the same $9.99 through September 30 (then $12.99) that also keeps the Amountle mark beside your name. The perks tied to Amountle+ are:

  • Complete archive — replay and score every past Daily, instead of only today's puzzle and the "play yesterday" repair option.
  • Your guessing patterns — after 10 saved rounds, see where you tend to guess high or low, broken out by size and round.
  • Leaderboard name — a Shimmering name plus a public play count next to your entry.
  • Two streak freezes — each one automatically covers a single missed Daily.

Perks follow your signed-in account, so they travel with your player name rather than the device.

Does paying change your score or rank?

No. The shop text is explicit: "Purchases never affect scores or ranks." The free framing is also stated directly — "Keep Amountle free for everyone. No ads or pay-to-win."

What this means in practice:

Element Affected by payment?
Accuracy of your estimate No
Daily score No
Leaderboard position No
Access to today's puzzle No
Archive access Yes (Amountle+)
Streak protection Yes (freezes)
Name appearance Yes (Shimmering name)

So the paid tier buys convenience and cosmetics — replaying old puzzles, seeing your bias patterns, protecting a streak — not an edge in the estimation itself.

Separate purchases and tips

Two other items appear in the shop and are worth distinguishing from Amountle+:

  • Streak freeze — $0.99: adds one freeze to automatically cover a missed Daily. This is a standalone add-on, not part of the Amountle+ bundle.
  • Ko-fi tip: an optional way to support the Daily with "no game perks." The developer notes that if you just want to support the game, Ko-fi is a tip rather than a purchase.

The developer, Isaac, describes Amountle as a side project and says Amountle+ helps him spend more time on it — useful context if your reason for buying is support rather than features.

Before you buy: what to check

  • Checkout status: the shop shows "checkout opens soon" for both Amountle+ and the streak freeze, so purchases may not be live yet. Confirm on the site before expecting a completed transaction.
  • Sign-in: perks follow your signed-in account, so set up your player name first if you want the archive and stats attached correctly.
  • Purchase terms: the site points to a "Purchase terms and support" page for questions about a purchase — that's the place to check refund and support details, since the page evidence here doesn't spell them out.

If you're deciding: buy Amountle+ if you want to replay past Dailies or see your high/low guessing bias. Skip it if you only play today's puzzle — the core game, scoring, and leaderboard are unaffected either way.
