What Are the Pricing Options for Joana's Guides for Classic WoW?

Joana's Guides for Classic WoW offers two paid options: a Monthly Everything Plan at $5.95 per month (discounted from $7.95, auto-renewing) and a Subscribe Everything Plan at $129.95 as a one-time payment (discounted from $149.95). Both unlock the same premium leveling guides for levels 1–80 across Classic Era, TBC, and WOTLK, viewable on the website or loaded through the free addon. Choose monthly if you only need the guides for a short leveling push; choose the one-time plan if you expect to keep playing across multiple characters or expansions.

The Two Paid Plans at a Glance

The guide content is identical between the two plans. The only difference is how you pay and how long access lasts.

What the Premium Guides Cover

The paid tier includes leveling routes for all three Classic-era rulesets:

• Classic Era 1–60 (Azeroth) — supports Season of Discovery, Hardcore, and Anniversary modes
• TBC 60–70 (Outland) — includes 12–20 Ghostlands & Bloodmyst Isle
• WOTLK 70–80 (Northrend)

The guides can be read directly on the website or loaded into the free addon, which pre-loads them for in-game use.

What You Get Without Paying

Before deciding on a plan, note that a free tier exists:

• Starter Guides (free): Classic Era 1–12 (Azeroth), Classic Era 12–15 Tirisfal, and WOTLK 70–72 (Northrend)
• Free addon: includes the starter guides for levels 1–12 and 70–72

These are viewable on the website and pre-loaded into the free addon. If you only need early-level routing or want to test the format before paying, the free tier covers that.

Which Plan Fits Your Situation

Pick the Monthly Everything Plan ($5.95/month) if:

• You're leveling one character through a single expansion and expect to finish within a month or two
• You want to try the full premium guides before committing to a larger payment
• You play in bursts and don't mind cancelling when you're done

Pick the Subscribe Everything Plan ($129.95 one-time) if:

• You play across multiple characters, modes (Hardcore, SoD, Anniversary), or expansions
• You expect to keep using the guides over many months or years
• You prefer a single payment over recurring billing

The break-even point is roughly 22 months of the monthly plan ($129.95 ÷ $5.95). If you expect to use premium guides longer than that, the one-time plan costs less overall. If you'll finish your leveling within a few months, monthly is cheaper.

Practical Notes Before You Buy

• The monthly plan auto-renews, so cancel it when you no longer need access if you don't want continued charges.
• Both plans give the same content — there is no feature difference to weigh beyond price structure.
• The free addon works with both paid plans; you don't need a separate purchase to load guides in-game.
• The guides are authored by Joana, the Vanilla world record holder who hit level 60 in record time in 2006, and the site has been helping players level since 2006.
