What Content Is Currently Available on The Therapeutic Care Journal?

Updated

The Therapeutic Care Journal (thetcj.org) is currently in a transitional phase, but it remains readable. According to the site's May/June 2023 update, The Mulberry Bush is developing a new and improved version of the TCJ and the site, and the update asks readers to "bear with us" during this work. In the meantime, the journal continues to publish articles, with regular contributions from Dr Keith White among the most recent items listed.

What the journal covers

The TCJ describes itself as being for everyone working with children and young people. Its stated focus is promoting therapeutic child care, social pedagogy and trauma-informed practice, with articles and information intended to inform, stimulate and educate. It says it is written by and for those working within child care internationally, and its mission is to share knowledge about all aspects of care for children and young people.

The journal was formerly known as The Children Webmag. It publishes thoughts, reflections, working notes, articles and papers that aim to capture the "lived experience" of the work.
