What dates and venues are listed for CU Sparrows events in 2027?

CU Sparrows (cu-sparrows.net) lists two 2027 fixtures: the Past versus Present match on Saturday, 13 February 2027, held at Cambridge University Sports Centre (New Portugal Place) and Pembroke College, and the Varsity Match on Saturday, 20 February 2027 at St Paul's School. Both dates and venues come from the club's own site for the 2026–2027 season, so treat them as the current published plan rather than a guarantee — confirm closer to the date.

The two 2027 fixtures at a glance

Past versus Present 2027

This is the club's alumni fixture, matching current members against former players (the "Sparrows"). It is listed across two locations on the same day: the Cambridge University Sports Centre at New Portugal Place, and Pembroke College. If you plan to attend or play, check with the club which part of the day happens at which venue, since the listing does not split the schedule.

Varsity Match 2027

The Varsity Match is the university-level fixture and is listed separately, one week after Past versus Present, at St Paul's School. Note that this venue is not in Cambridge, so travel needs to be planned around it.

Who to contact about these fixtures

The site names the 2026–2027 officers, who are the natural first point of contact for fixture details:

• Men's Captain: James Milburn (Jesus) — [email protected]
• Women's Captain: Katie Parry (Trinity Hall) — [email protected]
• Secretary: Keshav Kedia (Caius) — [email protected]

Before you make plans

• Confirm before booking travel. The page presents these as the season's scheduled dates; fixtures can be moved, so verify with the club or the named officers nearer the time.
• Don't assume the two events share a format. One is an alumni match spread over two Cambridge locations; the other is a single-venue Varsity fixture away from Cambridge.
• Check back on cu-sparrows.net for any updates to dates, venues, or start times, as the site is the source for this season's listings.
