What Do the Upcoming and Recently Released Sections on JRPGC Show?
Updated
JRPGC's "Recently Added Games" and "Recently Released" listings are release-tracking feeds: the first covers announced JRPGs that don't yet have a confirmed date, and the second covers titles that have just launched or been remastered. Each entry is a compact row — game name, release date (or "TBA"), genre, and platform — so you can scan the JRPG pipeline without opening individual database pages.
Recently Added Games: announced titles without a firm date
This section collects games that have been announced but not yet dated. On the page, every entry in this list carries TBA instead of a date, which is the signal that the release window is still open.
Each row follows the same pattern:
- Title — e.g. LitGirls: Bookbound Dungeons, Eternal Palace Sakura, Shade of the Marionette: The Story of Piyorita
- Date — TBA
- Genre — Dungeon Crawler, Hack & Slash/Beat 'em Up, Action, Turn-based, Indie Card/Board Based, Sports
- Platform(s) — PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2
A few entries show a year rather than a full date — Witch the Showdown is listed as 2027, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember as 2027 — so "TBA" and a bare year both mean the same thing here: announced, not scheduled.
Recently Released: dated launches and remasters
This section lists games with actual dates, including remasters and re-releases of older titles. The dates appear in day-month-year format, and the list mixes new entries with classic revivals:
| Title | Date | Genre | Platform(s) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered | 10-01-2026 | Hack & Slash/Beat 'em Up | PC, Switch |
| Exstetra Remaster | 09-30-2026 | Turn-based Tactical | PC |
| Qliphah in Providence's Shadow | 09-24-2026 | Platform Action | PC |
| Another Eden Begins | 09-17-2026 | Turn-based | PC, Switch |
| Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter | 09-17-2026 | Turn-based | PC, Switch |
| Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave | 09-17-2026 | Strategy Tactical | Switch 2 |
| Banchou Tactics: Lion Heart | 09-09-2026 | Strategy | PS5, Xbox Series X |
| Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon Classic HD | 09-09-2026 | Dungeon Crawler | PC, Switch |
| Onimusha: Way of the Sword | 09-04-2026 | Hack & Slash/Beat 'em Up, Action | PC |

| Captain Tsubasa II: World Fighters | 08-28-2026 | Sports | PC, Switch |
| Neptunia Unlimited | 08-27-2026 | — | — |
The presence of "Remaster," "Classic HD," and "Complete Edition" in titles shows this feed isn't limited to brand-new games — re-releases land here too.
How to read the two sections together
The split is by release certainty, not by importance:
- No date yet → Recently Added Games. Use this to build a watchlist of announced JRPGs.
- Date assigned → Recently Released. Use this to see what's out now or just landed.
Both sections share the same four data points per entry — title, date, genre, platform — so you can compare a TBA title against a dated one on identical terms. Platform tags also tell you which storefront or console generation a game targets, including current-gen-only entries like Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave on Switch 2.
What these sections don't tell you
The listings are index rows, not full database entries. They don't include price, regional availability, or whether a title is a Japan-only release — that detail lives on the individual game page. For example, the Wizardry Xth: Mugen no Gakuto – Unlimited Students entry notes it "was only released in Japan," but that kind of note appears in the game's own record, not in the release feed itself.
If you want to track a specific title, open its row to reach the full entry; if you just want a quick pulse on what's coming and what just arrived, the two sections are enough on their own.
