What Dragon Boat Races Does SDBA Organise in 2026?
Updated
The Singapore Dragon Boat Association (SDBA), the national sports association for dragon boat in Singapore, lists seven races on its 2026 calendar, running from March to November at venues including Jurong Lake, Bedok Reservoir, Marina Reservoir, and Sentosa. Dates and venues are published on sdba.org.sg, but registration and results are announced separately for each race rather than in one central place.

What Each Race Looks Like
SDBA Century Race (March)
The earliest event on the calendar, held over two days at Jurong Lake. It opens the competitive year before the sprint season begins.
Dragon Boat Sprint @ The Kallang (May)
A two-day sprint event at the Water Sports Centre on the Kallang basin. It shares its venue with several other 2026 races, so it is the most accessible location if you want to watch more than one event.
National Inter-school Dragon Boat Competition (May)
A single-day school competition on 22 May at the Water Sports Centre, running alongside the Kallang sprint weekend. This is the entry point for student crews.
Singapore Dragon Boat Festival (June)
The traditional mid-year festival, held 27–28 June at Bedok Reservoir. It is the closest thing on the calendar to a flagship community event.
Physi Dragon 2026 (October)
A two-day event at Palawan Beach, Sentosa — the only 2026 race on a beach rather than a reservoir or river. SDBA describes it as the first edition of Physi Dragon, with the first champions crowned at this event.
SDBA-Austcham 10km Challenge (October)
A 10 km distance race at Marina Reservoir on 17 October. The distance format makes it distinct from the sprint events earlier in the year.
Regatta Waterfest (November)
The closing race of the season, 14–15 November at the Water Sports Centre, The Kallang.
Registration and Results
SDBA states that race registration and results are handled per race, with dates and venues announced for each respective event. There is no single 2026 registration page covering all seven races. If you want to enter, check the individual race listing or SDBA's news and social channels — the association posts registration deadlines there, such as a reminder that one week remained to register for SRW 2026.
Practical Notes
- Venues repeat. The Water Sports Centre at The Kallang hosts three of the seven races, so it is the most frequently used venue in 2026.
- Two races share a date. The National Inter-school Competition falls on 22 May, the first day of the Kallang sprint weekend.
- The season is long. Events span March to November, with a gap between the June festival and the October races.
- Check before travelling. SDBA publishes race bulletins and notices on its site; confirm times and any changes there rather than relying on the calendar alone.
