EnglishWhat Gift Add-Ons and Extras Does Marquis Flower Shop Sell?
Updated
Marquis Flower Shop (marquisflowers.com) sells more than cut flowers: its online catalog includes gift baskets, balloon bouquets, chocolates, plush animals, vases, wine, greeting cards, and flower gift sets, plus floral workshops listed as an offering. These extras are grouped in the site’s navigation under Gift Baskets, Balloon Bouquets, and Extra Touches, so you can add them to a flower order or send them on their own. The shop serves Lethbridge, Alberta, and advertises same-day delivery on orders placed before 1pm.
Gift Baskets
The Gift Baskets section is the broadest add-on category on the site. Listed subcategories include:
- Beer & Wine Baskets
- Holiday Gift Baskets
- Gourmet Gift Baskets
- Sweets Gift Baskets
- Fruit Baskets
- Cheese Gift Baskets
- Chocolate Gift Baskets
- Lindt Gift Basket Collection
- Snack Gift Baskets
This range covers both celebratory and everyday gifting: a wine basket for a housewarming, a fruit or cheese basket for a host, or a chocolate and snack basket for a thank-you. Because the baskets sit alongside the flower catalog, they work as a standalone gift when flowers aren’t the right fit.
Balloons, Chocolates, Plush, Vases, Wine, and Cards
The Extra Touches section collects the smaller add-ons that pair with a bouquet:
| Add-on | What it is | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Balloon Bouquets | Grouped balloons sold as their own category | Birthdays, congratulations, new baby |
| Chocolates | Boxed chocolate add-ons | Valentine’s, anniversaries, thank-you |
| Plush animals | Bear, turtle, dog, cat, elephant, bunny, cow, monkey, sloth, unicorn | Get well, new mom, birthdays |
| Vases | Standalone vases | Pairing with loose flowers or as a gift |
| Wine | Wine add-ons | Housewarming, congratulations, dinner gifts |
| Greeting Cards | Cards to accompany an order | Any occasion where a message matters |
The plush selection is unusually wide for a flower shop, with ten animal options listed, which helps when you want a gift that suits a child or a specific recipient rather than a generic teddy bear.
Flower and Planter Baskets, and Flower Gift Sets
Beyond non-floral extras, the shop lists Flower & Planter Baskets and Flower Gift Sets as their own categories. These are flower-based gifts presented in a basket or bundled format rather than a standard wrapped bouquet — useful when you want the arrangement itself to read as a gift set. They sit under the broader Flowers menu alongside Mixed Bouquets and the Mason Jar Collection.
Floral Workshops
Floral Workshops appear in the site navigation as an offering. The listing confirms the category exists but does not publish schedule, pricing, or registration details on the page, so check the workshop page or call the shop at (403) 327-1515 for current dates.
How to Choose an Add-On
- Sending to a home or office: a balloon bouquet or plush adds visible impact beyond flowers.
- Gifting someone who doesn’t want flowers: a gourmet, fruit, cheese, or snack basket stands alone.
- Adding a personal message: pair any order with a greeting card.
- Building a larger gift: combine a bouquet with chocolates, a vase, or wine.
- Occasion-specific: the site organizes flowers by occasion (Birthday, Anniversary, Sympathy & Funeral, Get Well, New Mom, Love & Romance, and more), so you can match the add-on to the same event.
Practical Notes Before Ordering
- Same-day delivery: advertised for orders placed before 1pm.
- Currency: the site displays Canada (CAD $), with a country/region selector.
- Contact: (403) 327-1515.
- Account: a Login option is listed, but the page does not state whether an account is required to order — assume you may be asked to create one at checkout rather than relying on guest checkout.
If your goal is a flower delivery with a little extra, start with the bouquet by occasion, then add from Extra Touches or swap in a gift basket when flowers aren’t the right gift.
