What Godot themes and plugins does azagaya offer?
Updated
azagaya's itch.io page lists two Godot plugins and a set of UI themes for Godot games. The plugins cover normal map and specular map generation for 2D sprites, while the themes are ready-made UI skins, several of them pixel-art or retro-styled. Everything below is drawn from the page's own listings; the page does not state license terms, engine version compatibility, or price for most items, so check each item page before using it in a project.
Godot plugins
Two dock plugins are listed under "Godot Plugins":
| Plugin | What it does |
|---|---|
| Godot Normal Map Generator | A simple dock plugin that allows creation of normal maps for 2D sprites |
| Godot Specular Map Generator | A specular map generator plugin for 2D in Godot |
Both are aimed at 2D workflows: you generate the map from a sprite rather than authoring it by hand. The page describes them only at this level, so treat the exact controls and output options as something to confirm on each plugin's page.
Themes for Godot games
The "Themes for Godot Games" section lists UI themes you can apply to a Godot project:
- Neon Wave — Retro Wave inspired UI theme for Godot Games
- Metal Pixel — Metal Pixel theme for Godot Engine
- GIF Minimalistic — Minimalistic UI theme for Godot Games
- SimpleBox GUI — Simple theme for Godot Games
- Kenney's UI Theme — UI theme for Godot engine, based in Kenney's UI Pack
- Ornate Pixel Art — Ornate Pixel Art theme for Godot Engine
- Pixel Art Sci Fi — Sci-Fi pixel art theme for Godot Games
The set splits roughly into two directions: minimal/clean themes (GIF Minimalistic, SimpleBox GUI, Kenney's UI Theme) and pixel-art or retro themes (Metal Pixel, Ornate Pixel Art, Pixel Art Sci Fi, Neon Wave). Kenney's UI Theme is explicitly built on Kenney's UI Pack, so it inherits that pack's visual style rather than an original one.
Related tools and assets on the same page
The page also lists items that aren't Godot themes or plugins but sit in the same gamedev-asset space:
- Laigter ($4.99) — a simple normal map generator for 2D sprites, the standalone counterpart to the Godot normal map plugin
- Laigter Brushes — brush plugins for Laigter
- ScaleNX ($2) — a simple pixel-art upscaling tool, free in browser
- Spriteshift — playable in browser
- Potions Pack — 9 potion types in 3 sizes and 8 colors each
- Zelda-Like Pink Dungeon and Purple Dungeon TileSet — pixel-art dungeon tilesets
How to choose
- If you need normal or specular maps inside Godot for 2D sprites, start with the two dock plugins.
- If you want a UI skin without building one, pick a theme by art direction: minimal themes for clean interfaces, pixel/retro themes for pixel-art games.
- If you want the same normal-map workflow outside Godot, Laigter is the standalone option, listed at $4.99.
- If you need tilesets or sprite packs rather than UI, look at the dungeon tilesets and Potions Pack instead.
Prices, licenses, and Godot version support are not given for most listings on the page, so verify those on the individual item pages before committing to a project.
