What Information and Services Can Visitors Find on the PUST Website?

Updated

The PUST website (pust.ac.bd) is the official portal of Pabna University of Science and Technology, and it serves two main audiences: prospective and current students looking for academic and admission information, and anyone who needs to reach the university's administrative offices or follow its official notices. You can use it to check academic programs and forms, find contact points for offices such as the Vice-Chancellor or Registrar, read facility information (library, transport, residence, medical, ICT), and track notices on admissions, jobs, results, tenders, and press releases. The site is in English.

Academic information

The academic area is organized under an Academic menu with these sections:

  • Academic Programs – the list of programs the university offers
  • Faculty and Departments – who teaches where and how departments are structured
  • Forms and Download – downloadable documents, including an application form for a duplicate registration card or name correction
  • Academic Calendar – the university's term and event schedule
  • Scholarship – scholarship-related information
  • Seminars & Workshops – announced events
  • PUST Journals and Publications – the university's research output

There are also directories for All Dean and All Chairman, so you can identify the leadership of a faculty or department before contacting them.

Administration and governance

The Governance section documents how the university is run: the PUST Act, Regent Board, Academic Council, Finance Committee, and Academic Ordinance. The Administration section lists the offices visitors most often need:

  • Vice-Chancellor Office
  • Pro Vice-Chancellor Office
  • Treasurer Office
  • Registrar Office
  • Proctor Office
  • Student Advisor Office
  • ICT Cell
  • All Office (a combined listing)

If your task is a certificate verification, a name correction, or an official request, start from the relevant office page rather than the general notice board.

Facilities

The Facilities menu covers Library, Transport, Residence, Medical, and ICT Sheba. The library page is also where you find access links to external journal collections: Indian journals (indianjournals.com) and JSTOR. Students and staff who need off-campus reading material should check these links before assuming access is unavailable.

Notices and results

The Notices area is split by type: General Notice, Job Notice, Press Release, NOC, and Result Notice. Current items on the homepage at the time of writing include the announcement that the first PUST convocation will be held on 15/16 March, the 2026 freshers' reception, a training program on office management and professionalism, the National High School Programming Contest, the Dean's Award Giving Ceremony, an e-Tender notice (FY 2025–26, Tender ID 1360434), a leave notice, and an office order on staff upgradation. Because notices rotate, check the notice pages directly rather than relying on the homepage.

Admission and examination

Admission is broken into Undergraduate, Graduate, Evening Programs, and Admission Notice. There is also an Online Examination entry. Prospective students should read the Admission Notice page first, since program pages describe what is offered while the notice carries the current instructions.

What the site tells you about the university

The Vice-Chancellor's welcome message and the About sections give context: PUST was founded in 2008, began with about 140 students in four departments (CSE, EEE, Mathematics, and Business Administration), and now has 5 faculties, 21 departments, 172 teaching staff, and nearly 5,000 students on a 30-acre campus beside the Dhaka–Pabna highway, about 3 kilometers east of Pabna town.

Practical starting points

If you need to… Go to
Check what programs exist Academic → Academic Programs
Apply or read admission rules Admission → Admission Notice
Download a form Academic → Forms / Download
Contact an office Administration → the relevant office
Find a notice, job, or result Notices → the matching notice type
Use library journals remotely Facilities → Library
Verify a certificate or fix your name Academic → Forms, then the Registrar Office

One caution: the site does not publish tuition figures or a single consolidated contact directory on the pages reviewed, so for costs or a specific person's email, use the relevant office page or call the university rather than assuming the information is online.
