What is Akron Soccer League (akronsoccerleague.com)?

Updated

akronsoccerleague.com is the website of the Akron Soccer Club/League in Akron, New York. It is the club's public information hub for youth soccer programs, registration, and club news. It covers three main programs—House Soccer, Travel Soccer, and First Kicks Academy—and serves players, parents, and families in the Akron area. Use it to check what's offered, when seasons run, and how to register; it is not a general soccer resource or a national league site.

Programs at a Glance

The site organizes its offerings into three programs, each aimed at a different age and commitment level.

Program Ages Season / Timing Notes
House Soccer 5–15 Spring (May–June) and fall (September) Two seasons per year; recreational league
Travel Soccer 8–19 Not specified on the page Next level after House League; focuses on technical and tactical development
First Kicks Academy 3–4 May through June Described as a fun, free soccer development program

The age ranges and season windows above come directly from the site's program descriptions. Travel Soccer's schedule is not stated on the page, so check the site directly if that matters to you.

Registration and the Fall House League

The homepage currently highlights open registration for the 2026 Fall House League, running August 16 – September 26. According to the club's news post, this is a 6-week season with:

  • Saturday morning games
  • Weeknight practices set by each coach
  • All practices and games at the Akron Falls Sports Complex on Skyline Drive
  • Registration cost of $55

The post says registration is "open to both..." but the excerpt cuts off there, so the full eligibility details aren't visible in the provided material. If you need to confirm who can register, go to the registration page on the site.

Club News and Events

The site also functions as a club news board. Recent items include:

  • Akron Lynx U13 Girls tryouts for 2027, held August 29 and September 12
  • Akron Royals U16 girls winning the 2026 BWNYJSL U16 Division 1 Championship with an 8-1-1 record
  • Akron Soccer Club Annual Meeting on Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 PM at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4809 S. Newstead Road, Akron
  • Akron Royals winning the 25th annual Akron Kick It First Tournament (May 9–10), reportedly the first Akron-based team in recent memory to win the club's own tournament
  • A DICK'S Sporting Goods partnership offering club members 20% off during April 24–27, 2026 at select locations

These posts are useful for families deciding whether to join: they show the club runs competitive travel teams, hosts its own tournament, and holds regular community events.

Who It's For and How to Use It

This site is most useful if you are:

  • A parent in or near Akron, NY, looking for a youth soccer program for a child aged 3–19
  • Deciding between recreational (House) and competitive (Travel) play
  • Checking registration deadlines, costs, and locations for the upcoming season

To get started, open the site and go to the program page that matches your child's age, then follow the registration link for the current season. The homepage's "Registration is Now Open For" section is the quickest way to see what's currently accepting sign-ups.

One caveat: the provided page material doesn't include contact details, full registration eligibility, or Travel Soccer schedules. For those specifics, use the site's own program and registration pages rather than relying on the summary above.
