What is Amountle?

Updated

Amountle is a free daily visual estimation game. Each day you watch objects pour into a jar, guess how many are inside, and see how close you got. You play five rounds, get a score, and can compare it against that day's leaderboard. No payment is required to play the Daily.

How a round works

The core loop is deliberately simple:

  1. Watch the pour — objects fall into a container.
  2. Guess the count — enter your estimate.
  3. Compare — the game shows the actual number and your accuracy.

The site frames it as "how many are inside?" with the instruction "watch the pour. guess the count." Accuracy is tracked across rounds, and your results feed into an average and best score.

Scoring, streaks, and stats

  • Five-round score — the Daily is scored per day, and your daily rank appears on the leaderboard.
  • Streak — consecutive days played are tracked. Missing a day breaks the streak, and the site offers a "repair it: play yesterday" path plus a 28-day view.
  • Stats — you get a running average, best score, and accuracy figure.
  • Player name — you can set a name (up to 20 characters) for future scores; past scores keep the name they were recorded under.

Extra ways to play

Beyond the standard Daily, Amountle lists several variants:

Mode What it changes
Over / Under Decide whether the count is above or below a given number
Fill Pour to a target number
Video fill Fill variant using video
Survival Keep going until you miss
Practice No timer
Duel Play, then send the challenge to a friend
Full archive Replay and score past Dailies (tied to Amountle+)

There are also related daily games linked from the site (Halfsies, Flipsies, Stackdle, Puttsies, Weighsies), plus achievements and badges.

Is it free?

Yes — the Daily is free, and the site states there are no ads or pay-to-win mechanics. Optional paid items exist:

  • Amountle+ — $9.99, described as one purchase, yours forever. It includes the complete archive (replay and score every past Daily) and guessing-pattern insights after 10 saved rounds.
  • Founding Player — $9.99 through September 30, then $12.99, which keeps the Amountle mark beside your name.
  • Streak freeze — $0.99, adds one freeze that automatically covers a missed Daily.
  • Ko-fi tip — optional support with no game perks.

The site notes that purchases never affect scores or ranks, and that checkout for some items "opens soon." Perks follow your signed-in account.

Who it's for

Amountle suits you if you want a short, low-pressure daily puzzle that tests estimation rather than knowledge or reflexes — closer to a number-sense warm-up than a trivia game. If you prefer timed pressure, the Survival and no-timer Practice modes let you adjust. If you want to compete, the daily leaderboard and streak system give you something to chase.

It's made by an independent developer (Isaac) as a side project, and there's a Discord plus a feedback channel for ideas and bugs.
