What Is AppDen and What Does It Do?
Updated
AppDen is a managed cloud that runs apps built by AI and gives you a private link to share them. You describe the app in plain language to an AI you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok — and AppDen handles the hosting, database, and file storage behind it. It fits small software you or a team would actually use: trackers, calculators, dashboards, sign-up sheets, or an internal tool. You don't configure servers, databases, or infrastructure yourself.
How it works
The workflow has three steps, and none of them involve writing code.
- Connect. Add
appdento Claude or ChatGPT once. AppDen describes this as taking about a minute. - Ask for an app. Describe what you want in plain words, for example "Build me a CRM for the companies I'm interviewing with" or "A tracker for my freelance invoices, just for me."
- Publish it privately. Your AI builds the app and publishes it to AppDen, which returns a private link that works on any device. You choose who can open it.
A published app gets a URL in the form invoices-7k2d.appden.dev.
What each app gets
Every app AppDen runs comes with its own server, database, and file storage, active from the moment it's published. AppDen maintains all of it, so the infrastructure stays out of your way. The platform also saves each app's data and keeps every version.
Who it's for
AppDen targets "the little software you wish existed" — personal tools, team utilities, or small apps your customers use. Because publishing produces a private link rather than a public site, it suits things you want to control access to rather than launch broadly.
Pricing
AppDen is free to start, and both plans use the same usage rates. Nothing is billed by surprise, according to the site.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0/month | A monthly usage allowance, up to 10 apps, a database and file storage for every app, no card needed |
| Pro | $19.99/month | 3× the Free usage allowance, unlimited apps, extra usage billed at the same rates |
The Free plan is aimed at trying things out and small personal apps. Pro is positioned for apps you, your team, or customers use every day. Full details are on the pricing page.
When AppDen is a good fit
- You already use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok and want the app it builds to actually run somewhere.
- You want a private link you control access to, not a public deployment.
- You'd rather not think about servers, databases, or hosting.
- Your app is small and personal, or a lightweight tool for a team or customers.
When it isn't
- You need a public, high-traffic production site with custom infrastructure — AppDen is built around small apps and managed hosting.
- You want to write and maintain the code yourself rather than have an AI generate it.
- Your app needs exceed the Free plan's 10-app limit and you don't want to pay $19.99/month for Pro.
To try it, connect AppDen to your AI assistant and describe the first app you want to exist.
