What Is Ballet Concerto?
Updated
Ballet Concerto is a professional, non-profit performing arts organization based in Fort Worth, Texas, founded in 1969. It exists to make ballet and other forms of dance available to all ages and backgrounds. If you are looking for a Fort Worth ballet company to attend, support, or partner with for school outreach, this is the organization to know.
What Ballet Concerto Does
The organization presents two annual concerts and runs two year-round outreach programs in Fort Worth ISD schools.
Annual Concerts
| Concert | What to Know |
|---|---|
| Summer Dance Concert | Presented every summer since 1983, with 2020 the only exception. The 44th annual edition runs June 18–21 at ClearFork and celebrates America's 250th anniversary. |
| A Holiday Special | The second annual concert on the organization's calendar. |
For the Summer Dance Concert, Ballet Concerto engages choreographers of national and international renown and professional dancers from ballet companies throughout the United States.
Outreach Programs in FWISD Schools
- FIND (Find and Inspire New Dancers) — a year-round program in Fort Worth ISD schools.
- Lecture/Demonstrations — a second year-round outreach offering in FWISD schools.
These programs carry out the mission of making dance available across ages and backgrounds, beyond the concert stage.
Who It Is For
- Audiences in the Fort Worth metroplex who want professional summer ballet and holiday performances.
- Schools and students in FWISD who can take part in FIND and Lecture/Demonstrations.
- Supporters who want to sustain a non-profit arts organization founded in 1969.
How to Get Involved
Ballet Concerto states it exists thanks to donor generosity. The organization lists three ways to contribute:

- Volunteer.
