Updated

Bangalore Chess Academy is a chess training institution that has operated in Bangalore since 2005, offering classroom training, online training, and personal training sessions for students at all levels. Its chief trainer and course director is FIDE Master and FIDE Trainer Vedant Goswami. If you are looking for structured chess coaching in Bangalore — or online sessions in a compatible time zone — this academy is a candidate worth evaluating, particularly if you want instruction from a titled player.

What the academy offers

  • Classroom training at its Bangalore locations
  • Online training for remote students
  • Personal training with FIDE Master Vedant Goswami
  • Chess in schools programs
  • Franchise opportunities

The academy states it has trained more than 10,000 students of all levels across its Bangalore locations since 2005.

Who leads the training

Vedant Goswami is the chief trainer and course director. According to the academy's site:

  • He is a FIDE Master and FIDE Trainer
  • He has more than 25 years of playing and training experience
  • His highest FIDE rating was 2317
  • He has represented India in Asian and Commonwealth chess championships
  • He was appointed by FIDE to train the Olympiad teams of South Sudan and Djibouti for the 2022 Chess Olympiad in Chennai

For learners who weigh a trainer's competitive record and formal FIDE credentials heavily, this background is the main differentiator the academy presents.
