What is BeforeSunset and what does it offer?

Updated

BeforeSunset is a brand that makes small, focused iOS apps — each one built to solve a single everyday problem well. If you want a lightweight tool for a specific task (tracking where you put things, planning your day, seeing where your time goes, decoding a dating chat, or just making a decision), BeforeSunset may have an app for it. The apps are separate products rather than one all-in-one platform, so you pick the one that matches your problem.

The apps

BeforeSunset describes five focused iOS apps, each aimed at one everyday problem:

App What it does
Wimz Remembers where you put things. It tracks the last place you confirmed an item was seen, so you don't have to.
Unlock Turns a goal, idea, or problem into a plan — clear steps, useful notes, and something you can move forward with.
Mirror Shows where your time actually goes. Start and stop a timer; over time it builds a private picture of your days.
BeforeSunset AI AI that plans, prioritizes, and keeps you on track. Write what's on your mind and it breaks it into tasks and plans your day.
Mi Amor Reads between the messages. Upload up to four dating chat screenshots and it breaks down the vibe, interest, subtext, and what you could say next.
Rollin' Makes a decision for you. Put two choices head-to-head or add a whole crowd, and it picks one.

What each app is for

Wimz — remember where you left it

Wimz keeps track of where your stuff was last seen. You save a place in seconds by typing it, saying it, or snapping a photo, and you can browse your saved items by category, status, or Container. Containers let you group items together — useful if you want to know what's inside a box, bag, or drawer.

Unlock — turn what's on your mind into a plan

You start with a goal, idea, or problem, and Unlock shapes it into a clear direction, breaks it into doable steps, and keeps notes and guides close to your work. It also lets you research when you need more context without losing sight of the plan.

Mirror — see where your time goes

Mirror is a plain timer: start and stop it, and over time it turns those moments into a private picture of how you spend your days. BeforeSunset notes it has no goals, streaks, or coaching, and no notifications or pressure. You can look back at your day, week, or month, and sync your time across Apple devices when you choose.

BeforeSunset AI — AI planning and prioritization

This is the AI planner. You write what's on your mind, and it breaks it down into tasks, plans your day, and helps you focus. You can connect your calendar to see the day's events while planning to-dos, then hit "Plan My Day" and let the AI arrange tasks by priority and time efficiency. It also includes Oasis, which builds a workspace intended to keep you focused.

Mi Amor — read a dating chat

Mi Amor takes up to four dating chat screenshots and breaks down the vibe, interest, subtext, and possible next messages. It's aimed at getting a clearer read on the conversation behind the words.

Rollin' — stop overthinking a choice

Rollin' puts two choices head-to-head, or throws in a whole crowd, and picks one to close the decision.

How to decide if it fits you

  • You want a single-purpose tool, not a suite. Each app does one thing, so you install only what you need.
  • You're on iOS. BeforeSunset describes these as iOS apps; Mirror specifically mentions syncing across Apple devices.
  • You prefer low-pressure tracking. Mirror explicitly avoids goals, streaks, coaching, and notifications.
  • You want AI help with planning or reading messages. BeforeSunset AI handles task planning and scheduling; Mi Amor handles chat interpretation.

BeforeSunset's own framing is the clearest guide: "Small apps for things that should be simpler." If your problem is one of the six above, there's likely an app for it. If you need an all-in-one productivity suite, this collection is structured differently — you'd be using several separate apps instead.
