What is Christ Church Ottershaw's website?

Updated

ottershawchurch.com is the official website of Christ Church Ottershaw, a church on Guildford Road in Ottershaw, Chertsey KT16 0PB. Use it to check service times, find family and youth group schedules, arrange a wedding, baptism or funeral, download the weekly notices, or enquire about hiring the church hall.

What you'll find on the site

The homepage is built around a short set of sections, each aimed at a different visitor:

  • About Us / Meet the Team – who the church is and who to contact
  • Services – regular worship times and formats
  • Families – groups for babies, toddlers and younger children
  • Youth – groups split by school year
  • Life Events – weddings, baptisms and funerals
  • Hall Hire – booking the church hall
  • Get Involved – volunteering and other ways to take part
  • CAMEO – a coffee morning listed among the regular activities

Two practical tools sit alongside these: a Download button for the current week's church notices, and a dated event listing covering services and groups.

Regular services

The site lists two Sunday services:

Service Time Notes
Holy Communion with hymns 09:00–09:50 Traditional service of Holy Communion
Morning Worship 10:30–11:30 First and third Sundays of the month; worship songs, with children's groups running in the Parish Hall

If you are visiting for the first time, the 09:00 service is the traditional option, while the 10:30 Morning Worship is the one with children's groups — but note it only runs on the first and third Sundays.

Groups for children and young people

All groups meet at Christ Church, Ottershaw, Guildford Rd, Ottershaw, Chertsey KT16 0PB.

  • Baby & Toddler Group – Monday mornings during school term time, in the Parish Centre. Snacks and drinks for children, tea and coffee for parents and carers. Contact Denise at [email protected].
  • Hi-5 & Fusion – for school years 5 and 6, every other Monday, 18:30–20:00. Contact Mandi on 07747 134593.
  • Inspire & The Edge – for school years 7 and 8, every other Tuesday, 18:30–20:30. Contact Mandi on 07747 134593.

Because the youth groups run fortnightly rather than weekly, check the event listing for the next date before turning up.

Life events and hall hire

If you are planning a wedding, baptism or funeral, the site directs you to the Life Events section, which explains how the church can help. For room bookings, the Hall Hire section covers hiring the church hall. Both are starting points for an enquiry rather than self-service booking forms.

Contact and location

The address given throughout the site is Guildford Rd, Ottershaw, Chertsey KT16 0PB, UK. For group-specific questions, the site lists direct contacts (Denise for toddlers, Mandi for youth groups). For anything else, the Contact and Meet the Team pages are the place to look.
