What Is doncasterrovers-mad.co.uk?

Updated

doncasterrovers-mad.co.uk is an unofficial Doncaster Rovers fan site operating on the Footymad network. It is not the official club website. It publishes Doncaster Rovers news, match reports, results, live scores, prediction games, fan forums, competitions, statistics and squad details, and it is run by fans for fans.

What the site covers

The site's own description lists its main content areas:

  • Breaking news about Doncaster Rovers
  • Live scores and results
  • Match reports
  • Prediction games
  • Fan forums and messageboards
  • Sports goods and competitions
  • In-depth statistics
  • Full playing squad detail

The homepage evidence shows this in practice: a run of dated match reports from the 2016–17 season, including "Hartlepool 2-1 Doncaster – Report" (06-May-2017), "Doncaster 1-3 Exeter – Match Report" (29-Apr-2017) and "Doncaster 1-0 Mansfield – Match Report" (08-Apr-2017). One entry also carries a short news line: "Doncaster down struggling Crewe to maintain four-point lead at top" (21-Jan-2017), describing a 3-1 win in Sky Bet League Two.

Who runs it

The site is part of Footymad, a network of unofficial football fan sites. The footer credits "About Footymad" and links to Footymad's Facebook, Twitter and RSS feed, plus a "Football's Writer Program" for contributors. The copyright line reads "© 2004 - 2025 www.doncasterrovers-mad.co.uk", indicating the site has been running since 2004.

Because it is unofficial, treat its content as fan-produced coverage rather than club communications. Match reports and news items reflect the site's own writers and contributors.

What it is not

  • It is not the official Doncaster Rovers club website.
  • It is not a ticket sales or official merchandise channel, based on the available evidence.
  • No pricing information or payment platforms are indicated in the source material, so nothing here should be read as free or paid access.

When it is useful

Use this site if you want:

  • Fan-written match reports and results for Doncaster Rovers
  • A messageboard to discuss the club with other supporters
  • Prediction games and competitions alongside other fans
  • Squad and statistics reference material

If you need official club announcements, ticketing or verified club statements, go to the club's own channels instead.
