What is Elemental Inc. (eleminc.com)?

Elemental Inc. is an electronics recycling and secure data destruction company based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1996, it serves the tri-state area (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware) and holds R2v3 certification for its recycling operations. If you have old computers, TVs, batteries, or other electronic equipment that needs to be disposed of responsibly—and especially if those devices contain sensitive data—Elemental Inc. is the type of provider you would contact.

Core Services

Elemental Inc. organizes its work around three service lines, all listed on its homepage:

Tri-State Area Pickup Services

The company provides scheduled pickup for electronics in the tri-state area. Its drivers have been running these routes for over 30 years, covering downtown Philadelphia and surrounding counties. This matters if you have volume—a single laptop is easy to drop off, but a pallet of retired office equipment is not.

Certified Secure Data Destruction

Elemental applies what it describes as "the most current and complete means of data elimination" to guarantee private information is destroyed. The homepage states 100% certified data destruction and 100% chain-of-custody tracking. For a business retiring hard drives or servers, chain of custody is the detail to verify: it is what lets you document that a device went from your possession to destruction without an unaccounted gap.

Certified Facility E-Waste Recycling

The company's certified facility handles computers, TVs, batteries, and other electronic surplus. The homepage reports 1.2M+ lbs of electronics recycled annually and 35% of devices refurbished or repurposed—meaning the operation is not purely shredding; some equipment is extended in life through reuse.

When Elemental Inc. Fits Your Need

The company is a reasonable fit if you are in the Philadelphia tri-state region and need either (a) pickup of a meaningful quantity of electronics, or (b) documented destruction of data-bearing devices for compliance purposes. The R2v3 certification and chain-of-custody claim are the two items worth confirming directly with the company, since certification scope and what documentation you receive at the end of a job are the details that matter for an audit trail.

If you are outside the tri-state area, the pickup service will not apply, and you would need to ask whether drop-off or shipping arrangements exist—the homepage does not describe them.

How to Get Started

The homepage offers a "Schedule Pickup" action and a contact form. Direct contact details:

• Phone: 215-289-1475
• Email: [email protected]
• Location: 2371 Church Street, Philadelphia, PA 19124

Before scheduling, it helps to have an inventory ready: what types of equipment, roughly how many units, and which items contain storage media that require destruction. That lets the company quote the right service and tell you what documentation you will receive.
