What Is floorball.sport (IFF) and What Can Visitors Find There?

Updated

floorball.sport is the official website of the International Floorball Federation (IFF), the sport's international governing body. Visitors can use it to follow major IFF competitions, read official news, check rankings, and find event and media information. It is a news and competition hub rather than a general encyclopedia or a participation guide for local clubs.

What the site covers

The homepage is organized around the international competition calendar and official announcements. Based on the current front page, the main content areas are:

  • World Championships and qualifiers — countdowns and event pages for upcoming tournaments, including the Men's World Floorball Championships 2026 in Tampere and the Women's U19 and Men's U19 World Championships in 2027, plus regional qualifiers (WFCQ EUR1, EUR3, and EUR2/AMER).
  • Champions Cup — results and fixtures from the IFF Champions Cup, including quarterfinal scores and confirmed semi-final pairings for 2027.
  • 3v3 floorball — news about the 3v3 World Floorball Championships, including the 2027 host (San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Spain) and 3v3 world ranking updates.
  • Official news — dated announcements such as international weekend streaming details and media accreditation openings.
  • Media resources — accreditation information for journalists covering IFF events.

How the homepage is structured

The page combines a tournament results carousel with a news feed. The carousel shows recent match scores across men's and women's conferences, followed by upcoming semi-final fixtures with dates. Below that, a "Latest News" list presents headlines in reverse chronological order, each with a publication date.

A navigation strip links to the major championship sections, and the site promotes an IFF App for following events. Gerflor is listed as an official partner.

What it is useful for

If you want to… The site helps by…
Follow international results Publishing Champions Cup scores and fixtures, plus national team tournament results
Plan around major events Listing championship dates, hosts, and countdowns
Track 3v3 development Posting 3v3 world rankings and host announcements
Cover floorball as media Providing accreditation notices and event information
Stay current on official decisions Publishing dated news items from the federation

What it is not

The visible content focuses on elite international competition and federation administration. It does not present itself as a directory of local clubs, a rules manual, or a beginner's guide to playing floorball. Visitors looking for those topics should expect to use other sources.

For anyone following international floorball — fans, journalists, or national association staff — floorball.sport is the primary place to confirm official event dates, results, and announcements directly from the governing body.
