EnglishWhat Is Hardy Fishing?
Updated
Hardy Fishing (hardyfishing.com) is the official homepage of Hardy®, a fly fishing brand that sells fly rods, fly reels, and related gear. The site positions itself around craftsmanship and performance, describing its catalog as gear "for those who demand the finest and refuse to settle for less." If you are looking for a fly fishing rod or reel and want to understand what Hardy offers before buying, this page is the brand's storefront and product hub.
What Hardy Fishing sells
The homepage organizes the catalog into two primary product lines, with supporting categories for different fishing environments:
- Fly Rods — including the Marksman, Ultralite, Aydon, Tactus, and Firecrest series
- Fly Reels — including modern performance reels and heritage reels
- Freshwater and Saltwater collections
- Caret navigation options (left/right) for browsing
Product examples and prices
The homepage lists specific models with prices, which gives a concrete sense of where the brand sits in the market:
| Product | Type | Price |
|---|---|---|
| New Tactus Nymphing Fly Rod | Rod | $995.00 |
| New Tactus Dry Fly Rod | Rod | $950.00 |
| New Firecrest Fly Rod | Rod | $995.00 |
| Marksman Z Fly Rod | Rod | $1,050.00–$1,095.00 |
| New Cascapedia MkV Reel | Reel | $795.00–$995.00 |
| Hardy x Kelly Galloup New Averon Streamer Fly Reel | Reel | $500.00 |
| Fortuna Regent Fly Reel | Reel | $725.00–$975.00 |
| 1912 Perfect Fly Reel | Reel | $925.00 |
These prices place Hardy in the premium segment of the fly fishing market. The site itself uses the word "premium" in describing the Aydon Series.
How the brand positions itself
Hardy emphasizes two things across the homepage:
- Craftsmanship and heritage — Heritage reels are described as "crafted in our Alnwick, England factory," and the brand references "classic craftsmanship meets modern performance."
- Performance and durability — Rods are described as "built to stand the test of time," and the Firecrest rod is noted for a "powerful lower section" that provides authority to manage heavy lines, heavy rigs, sinking tips, large flies, and hard-fighting fish.
The Marksman Series uses Sintrix FLT material, which the site says delivers a "featherlight touch, exceptional accuracy, and outstanding durability."
Shipping and purchase notes
The site states: Free Standard Shipping on All Orders. No pricing beyond the listed product prices, payment platforms, or login requirements are specified on the homepage. If you need those details, check the individual product pages or the checkout process.
Who this site is for
Hardy Fishing is aimed at fly anglers — particularly those fishing freshwater and saltwater who want premium rods and reels. If you are comparing fly fishing brands or deciding whether Hardy's price point matches your needs, the homepage gives you the product lineup, series names, and current prices to start that comparison.
