What Is Itsycal for Mac and What Is It Used For?

Itsycal is a small menu bar calendar for macOS made by Mowglii. It is used to check the date and your calendar events from the menu bar without opening a full calendar app. Mowglii lists it as a free app for macOS, alongside its other Mac apps Nvmm, MDV, and Snk.

What Itsycal Does

Itsycal puts a calendar in the macOS menu bar. Instead of switching to Calendar or another full app, you click the menu bar item to see the current date and your events. That makes it useful for quick, repeated checks during the day.

Its main uses are:

• Quick date checks — see today's date from the menu bar.
• Quick event checks — view calendar events without leaving what you are doing.
• A lighter alternative to a full calendar window — keep calendar access in the menu bar rather than a separate app window.

Who It Fits

Itsycal suits people who want calendar information close at hand but do not want a full calendar app running in the foreground. If your main need is a fast glance at the date or upcoming events, a menu bar calendar is a good fit. If you need heavy scheduling, editing, or detailed calendar management, a full calendar app is the better tool.

Where to Get It

Itsycal is available from Mowglii at mowglii.com, where the site lists it under "Itsycal for Mac" along with the developer's other macOS apps. The site describes Mowglii's apps as free apps for macOS.
