EnglishWhat Is Maria Shaw - The French Quarter Psychic Medium?
Updated
Maria Shaw is a psychic medium based in New Orleans who presents herself as "The French Quarter Medium." Her site, mariashaw.com, is a personal services and events hub: it lists her readings, psychic fairs and conventions, an online store, articles, and a newsletter. It is aimed at people who want to book a reading, attend an in-person event, or browse her writing and products. The site describes her as having studied astrology for many years and as serving clients "with the utmost integrity."
What the site offers
The homepage groups her work into a few clear areas:
- Readings with Maria — listed under "Best Sellers" as a "Personal Reading with Maria," plus a "15 Minute Call with Maria" promoted under "SAME DAY SERVICE."
- In-person events — psychic fairs and conventions across Michigan and Minnesota, with admission and walk-in reading prices listed.
- Articles — short pieces on topics such as soul mates vs. life partner, personal power days, karmic calling, and a "Law of Abundance Check."
- An online store — linked as "Maria's Store."
- A newsletter — for updates.
Booking a reading
Two routes are shown on the page:
- Same-day phone call. The "15 Minute Call with Maria" is advertised with same-day service, so you can get a short session the day you book. The page does not state the price for this call.
- Personal reading by appointment. For in-person readings at her event stops, the listed rates are $249 / $499, booked by email at [email protected]. The page does not explain what distinguishes the two price tiers, so ask when you email.
If you want a reading, email is the documented booking channel for appointments; the 15-minute call is the faster option when you want something today.
Events and what they cost
Her upcoming events follow a fair format with low entry costs and per-reading fees:
| Event | Location | Admission | Readings |
|---|---|---|---|
| Psychic Fun Fair with Char Savoie (Oct 3–4) | DoubleTree by Hilton, Bloomington, MN | $5 | Walk-in readers/healers starting at $20 |
| Psychic Fair (Oct 10) | Best Western Plus, Flint, MI | $5 | $20 |
| Psychic Fair (Oct 11) | Bavarian Lodge, Frankenmuth, MI | $5 | $20 |
| Halloween Psychic Convention & Fair (Oct 29–Nov 1) | Sheraton Four Points, Saginaw, MI | $5 | $20 walk-in |
At these fairs, Maria's own in-person readings are by appointment only at the $249 / $499 rates, separate from the $20 walk-in readings offered by participating readers. The Saginaw convention spans five rooms of psychic activities with classes, readings, lectures, and meals; the page advises booking early under the Maria Shaw Room Block because it sold out the previous year.
Who it's for
The site suits two kinds of visitors:
- People seeking a personal session — a same-day 15-minute call or a longer appointment reading, booked by email.
- People who prefer a low-cost, in-person introduction — a $5 fair admission plus a $20 walk-in reading lets you sample the scene before committing to a private session.
If you are looking for structured astrology courses or a formal certification program, the page does not describe one; her astrology background is presented as part of her reading practice rather than as a separate curriculum.
A practical note before you go
Prices and schedules on the page are tied to specific dated events, so confirm details by email ([email protected]) before traveling, especially for appointment-only readings and the room block. The site does not publish refund, cancellation, or session-length policies beyond the 15-minute call format, so those are worth asking about directly.
