What is MK8DX Track Info (shortcat.pro)?

MK8DX Track Info is a reference site for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe players, hosted at shortcat.pro. It gathers track-focused material — a Pro Guide strategy resource, Bullet Bill spots, and distance maps — rather than offering a general news or community hub. It is most useful as a lookup page before you study or practice a specific course.

What the site covers

The page identifies three kinds of material:

• Pro Guide strategy — described as being provided by Gyrodos.
• Bullet Bill spots — recorded by Euan.
• Distance maps — created by Mario Kart Blog.

These are all track-level references: where items or shortcuts matter, and how long or spaced out a course is. The site does not present itself as a rankings database, a patch-notes archive, or a forum.

Who made the material

The page credits each contributor separately, which is worth noting if you plan to cite or reuse anything:

Because the distance maps come from an external source (Mario Kart Blog), treat them as third-party reference material rather than original measurements from this site.

When it is worth opening

Use shortcat.pro when you want to check a course before a race or practice session — for example, to review where Bullet Bill pickups tend to appear or to get a sense of a track's length from the distance maps. If you need general game news, tier lists, or community discussion, this site is not aimed at that.

The page itself is a short index of what is available; the practical value comes from the individual track resources it points to.
