What Is Nancy Rothera Maine Gallery?

Updated

Nancy Rothera Maine Gallery (nrothera.com) is the personal gallery website of artist Nancy Rothera, showcasing her paintings of Maine and Florida scenes. The site is useful if you want to browse her original subject matter, see what titles are available, or order giclée canvas prints at listed sizes and prices.

What the Site Contains

The gallery is organized into a few main sections:

  • Maine Gallery — the largest collection, focused on coastal and small-town Maine subjects
  • Florida Gallery — a separate section for Florida work
  • Custom Gallery — a section for custom pieces
  • About Me and Contact Me — background on the artist and a way to get in touch

The Maine Gallery is where most of the listed work sits, and it functions as a browsable catalog of painting titles rather than a storefront with a shopping cart.

Subject Matter in the Maine Gallery

The titles read like a map of southern Maine coastal life. Recurring themes include:

  • Harbors and boats — Cape Porpoise Harbor, Lobster Boat, Lobster Boats on the River, Boats at Bidd Pool, Fletchers Lobsters
  • Beaches and pools — Kennebunk Beach, Goat Island, Biddeford Pool, Fortunes Rocks, Mile Stretch
  • Churches and landmarks — St Brendans Church, St Martins Church, Union Church, St Phillips by the Sea, Ocean House, Wood Island at Sunset
  • Gardens and landscapes — Sea of Lupins, Secret Garden, Karens Garden, Lilacs by the Fence, On the Marsh, Sheep in Meadow
  • Seasonal scenes — Christmas Prelude, Christmas Shack, 3 Dories in Winter

If you are looking for a specific local landmark or a particular season, scanning the title list is the fastest way to check whether it exists.

Giclée Prints: Sizes and Prices

The site lists giclée prints on canvas at fixed sizes and prices:

Size Price
12 x 16 $200
16 x 20 $300
18 x 24 $350
20 x 30 $400

Specifications: all prints are professionally printed on canvas, with a depth of either 3/4" or 1.5".

These are the only prices published on the page. The site does not state shipping costs, turnaround times, or payment methods, so those details would need to be confirmed through the Contact Me page before ordering.

How to Use the Site

  1. Open the Maine Gallery (or Florida Gallery) to review available painting titles.
  2. Note the title and the print size you want from the price table.
  3. Use Contact Me to ask about availability, canvas depth, shipping, and payment, since none of that is specified on the page.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • The page shows a copyright notice dated 2017, so the listing may not reflect current inventory or pricing.
  • There is no visible checkout or payment platform on the page — ordering appears to go through direct contact.
  • Canvas depth is offered in two options (3/4" or 1.5"), which affects how the print sits on a wall; confirm which one you want when you reach out.

If you are browsing for Maine coastal art or want a canvas print of a specific local scene, the gallery's title list is the place to start, and the Contact page is the route to an actual purchase.
