What Is Noods.io?
Updated
Noods.io is a digital cookbook that turns recipe links, photos, screenshots, and files into clean, usable recipes. It runs on the web, iPhone, iPad, and Android, and syncs your cookbook across those devices. It's aimed at anyone who saves recipes from websites or cookbook pages and wants them in one place they can actually cook from. You can start on the free plan without a credit card.
What Noods.io does
The core idea is import once, cook anywhere. Instead of keeping bookmarks, screenshots, and torn-out pages scattered around, you bring a recipe into Noods and it becomes a structured recipe you can scale and share.
The site lists these capabilities:
- Magic Import — paste a recipe URL, or bring in photos, PDFs, and other files, and Noods converts them into a clean recipe.
- Ingredient scaling — scale ingredients up or down without doing the math yourself, useful when cooking for a crowd.
- Shareable recipe links — send a recipe to friends or family, or to yourself for later.
- Cross-device sync — your cookbook stays available on the web, iPhone, iPad, and Android.
- Flexible recipe editor — add your own recipes manually if you don't want to import them.
The site also lists collaborative cookbooks and shopping list creation as "coming soon," so those aren't available yet.
Who it's for
Noods fits a few common situations:
- You collect recipes from lots of websites and want them in one consistent format.
- You cook from a phone or tablet in the kitchen and want the same recipes on your laptop.
- You regularly scale recipes for different numbers of people.
- You share recipes with family or friends and want a link instead of a screenshot.
If you only ever cook from one or two physical cookbooks and never save recipes digitally, the import features won't do much for you.
Plans and pricing
Noods has two tiers. Both include unlimited recipes, Magic Import, and shareable recipe links.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Miso Soup | Free | Unlimited recipes, Magic Import from links/photos/PDFs, shareable recipe links. Collaborative cookbooks and shopping lists listed as coming soon. |
| Ramen | $2.99/month | Everything in Miso Soup, plus support for Noods development. Collaborative cookbooks and shopping lists listed as coming soon. |
The free plan is described as "free forever," and signing up doesn't require a credit card. The paid tier mainly adds support for development and early access to new features — the core cooking features are in the free plan.
How to get started
- Choose a platform. Start free on the web, or download the Noods Cookbook app for iPhone, iPad, or Android.
- Import your first recipe. Paste a recipe link, or add a photo, screenshot, or file. Noods converts it into a clean recipe.
- Check the result. Review the imported recipe and adjust it in the editor if anything came through wrong.
- Cook from it. Scale the ingredients to the number of servings you need, then follow the recipe on your device.
- Share or save for later. Send a shareable link to someone else, or to yourself.
The site's own call to action is "Bring your first recipe to Noods," which is a reasonable way to test whether the import quality works for the sites and sources you actually use.
Things to keep in mind
- Import quality varies by source. The site advertises importing "from any website," but recipes formatted unusually (or in images) may need manual cleanup in the editor.
- Collaborative cookbooks and shopping lists aren't live yet. They're marked "coming soon" on both plans, so don't choose Noods expecting them today.
- The paid plan is about support and early access, not extra core features — everything essential is in the free tier.
- Pricing shown is $2.99/month for Ramen. Check the site for current pricing before upgrading, since plans can change.
