What is OverTake.gg?

Updated

OverTake.gg is a platform dedicated entirely to sim racing and virtual racing. It gathers racing game news, reviews, mods, hardware coverage, forums, and esports racing events in one place. If you are looking for a single destination that covers both the informational and community sides of sim racing, this site is built for that purpose.

What OverTake.gg covers

Based on the site's own description, its content is organized around several core areas:

  • Racing game news — updates and announcements from the sim racing world.
  • Reviews — assessments of racing games and related products.
  • Mods — modifications that extend or change racing titles.
  • Hardware — equipment relevant to sim racing setups.
  • Forums — a community space for discussion.
  • Esports racing events — coverage of competitive virtual racing.

This combination means the site functions as both an information hub and a community entry point.

Who it is for

OverTake.gg is aimed at sim racing enthusiasts. That includes people who follow racing game releases, build or upgrade their own rigs, use mods, or take an interest in virtual racing competitions. The scope is narrower than a general gaming site: it stays focused on racing rather than covering all game genres.

How it differs from general racing game media

A general racing game outlet might cover a broad range of racing titles across consoles and arcade styles. OverTake.gg positions itself specifically around sim racing and virtual racing, which suggests a stronger emphasis on simulation-focused titles, community-created content like mods, and competitive esports. The inclusion of forums also sets it apart from a pure news site, since it supports ongoing discussion rather than one-way publishing.

Practical notes

  • The site is in English (en-US).
  • Its own materials reference "premium" and "upgrade," which indicates some form of paid tier may exist. The available information does not specify prices, what a premium tier includes, or whether any parts of the site require login, so those details should be checked directly on the site.
  • If your goal is to follow sim racing news, find reviews or mods, or join a sim racing community, OverTake.gg is structured to serve those needs in one place.
