EnglishWhat is Powerleague?
Updated
Powerleague is an online booking platform for five-a-side football pitches in the UK. It is aimed at players and teams who want to find a nearby venue and reserve a pitch online rather than by phone or in person. The site presents itself as a community for five-a-side football and highlights its venues and facilities alongside the booking function.
What the platform offers
Powerleague combines two things in one place: a directory of football locations and a booking flow. According to the site's own description, you can:
- Book pitches online — the core function, handled through the website rather than a separate app or phone line.
- Find your nearest location — useful if you are new to an area or organising a game for a group that travels from different places.
- Play at venues with "world-class facilities" — the site markets its locations on facility quality, though the specific amenities at each venue are not detailed in the available information.
The platform is positioned around five-a-side football specifically, so it suits small-sided games rather than full-pitch 11-a-side bookings.
How booking works in practice
The site includes a checkout basket, which indicates a standard online flow: choose a venue and slot, add it to your basket, then complete payment. The available information does not specify accepted payment methods, cancellation terms, or whether an account is required before booking.
A practical example: if you want a weekly game with colleagues, you would use the location finder to identify a venue near your workplace, check available slots for your preferred evening, and complete the booking through the basket. Confirming the exact kick-off time and pitch size at checkout is worth doing, since five-a-side venues can vary in layout.
What to check before you book
Because the public description is broad, a few details are worth confirming on the site or with the venue directly:
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Is the venue actually near you? | Location listings are the starting point; travel time varies across a city. |
| What does the slot cost? | Pricing is not stated in the available information, so check at checkout. |
| What are the cancellation rules? | Not covered in the source material; relevant if your group's plans change. |
| What facilities are on site? | Changing rooms, parking, and pitch surface affect the experience but are venue-specific. |
Who it is for
Powerleague fits casual and regular five-a-side players in the UK who want a straightforward online route from "find a pitch" to "book it." It is less suited to anyone needing full-size pitches, multi-sport facilities, or detailed upfront pricing without visiting the site. If your main need is a quick, recurring small-sided game at a nearby venue, the platform's combination of location search and online checkout covers that task directly.
